The Colorado Contractors Association, which usually backs Republican candidates for office, said today that it plans to issue a dual endorsement in the governor’s race – another in a string of business groups that are slowly moving towards Democrat Bill Ritter instead of Republican Bob Beauprez.

Smacks of hedging your bets, IMO. Have enough gumption to endorse one or the other. The article states that many found Beauprez’s opposition to Ref C/D troublesome, but apparently not enough to stand against him.
