Though I’m reluctant to open the day with Rep. Lauren Boebert, the Raw Story article revealing just HOW ignorant is revealing. And it fits the quote of the day. So, here you are — Daily Kos summary grabs the headline:

Lauren Boebert threatens parody website: ‘Remove it immediately or face further action’

“Lauren told Jake [Settles, her official Press Secretary] to use his government email to send me a cease and desist order to take down my website, Jake is not a lawyer. Jake is an idiot.”

[The cease & desist letter] claims that the website “needs to be taken down since the photos on here are copyrighted property of the U.S. Federal Government.”

“They are property of the office of Congressman Lauren Boebert, and use of them is unauthorized and illegal,” the email says. “Additionally, the entire website is a defamatory impersonation, and it goes against relevant terms of service and U.S. law. Please remove it immediately or face further action.”

I don’t know how many ways the comedian hosting the site will use to tell the Congress critter “no.” There is a wide range. And in the meantime, she is drawing attention to someone “defaming” her.

Why you cannot have nice things.

Colorado company's bankruptcy orphans a record 55 oil wells to be cleaned up by state

"The bankruptcy of a company run by an ex-Denver Broncos star has orphaned the largest number of oil and gas wells to state care that Colorado has seen in years.

Centennial-based PetroShare Corp. was liquidated in bankruptcy and no longer exists, leaving behind 55 wells scattered northeast of the metro area for the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission to handle."

Ah yes, PetroShare and its piece of shit ex-Donk CEO, Steve Foley. I remember the company filing for a Chapter 11 organization a couple of years back, with shitboy blaming it on the "regulatory environment" in Colorado. If the company has since gone to be with Jesus, the bankruptcy was likely converted to a Chapter 7 at some point. Speaking of conversion, it seems likely that shitboy undertook the maneuver to facilitate converting any company assets of worth to his own personal use, then shutting all it down and leaving a mess for the taxpayers to clean up. Another mighty capitalist ubermensch using corporate welfare for self-enrichment. Fuck you, shitboy.

The system works that way because it was designed that way.

Are you blaming Steve Foley, or his accountant for knowing how to play the system?

Look into the big potatoes: Coal industry bankrupties!

Thanks, chief, but I know this particular system – from broad policy underpinnings all the way down to minute functional details – several thousand times better than you do or ever will.

Are you blaming Steve Foley, or his accountant for knowing how to play the system?

Nah, blaming someone for what s/he knows is silly. I blame shitboy for actually playing the system. Your unstated premise that lawfulness somehow vitiates reprehensibility is straight up preposterous.

Look into the big potatoes: Coal industry bankrupties!

Trump was nothing serious. Look into the big potatoes: Kim Jong Un and Nicolás Maduro Moros!
