Today is Etch A Sketch Day
Today is Mitt Romney's birthday?
Good??? news. Denver7 team reporting
So, 16 weapons, (at least) 1,000 rounds of ammunition, and "narcotics" (with an intent to distribute) are here, but it was unrelated to the All-Star Game. No word on what it WAS related to.
I seem to be hearing a faint echo of a lecture about "bread and circuses" in Rome.
Drugs for guns seems to be the consensus with possible Mexican cartel connections. 3 of the 4 suspects are non-US citizens.
Uh oh. John "Drinkin Freakin Fracken Fluid" Hickenlooper might want to look again at what he ingested:
“For much of the past decade, oil companies engaged in drilling and fracking have been allowed to pump into the ground chemicals that, over time, can break down into toxic substances known as PFAS — a class of long-lasting compounds known to pose a threat to people and wildlife — according to internal documents from the Environmental Protection Agency,” the New York Times reports.
Sara Goddard explains the problem with “forever chemicals.”
Saw that and had exactly the same thought . . .
. . . similarly twisted minds, I spose'?
Devoutly to be wished, but unlikely. He didn't really drink a fluid that would be used to frack a well. He drank a publicity stunt.
Heyduke! (I actually don't have anything to say. I've just been waiting for the opportunity to make this Edward Abbey reference.)
🙂👍
I'm leaving this here for MichaelBowman. It's part of the reason Black farmers in the South are so often short-changed on disaster relief: https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/07/11/fema-black-owned-property/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=wp_homepage
The issues of heir land are at the root of so many of the challenges the black community faces. I believe there were significant funds in some recently passed legislating that paid for legal fees to start fixing this problem – but it’s a huge one for sure. I spent a lot of time in Selma/Dallas County in 2019 and to hear these stories over and over is just heartbreaking.
This may be the best thread on the intertubes today. #ReleaseTheKraken
