Back in April, Colorado got the good news that the 2021 Major League Baseball All-Star Game will relocate to Coors Field in Denver from Georgia. Georgia’s right-wing governor signed a vote suppression bill into law to appease Donald Trump’s ego after losing the 2020 presidential election, which led the MLB to decide their money would be better spent in a state that prioritizes voting access, not voter suppression. Colorado’s “gold standard” election system gives us one of the highest voter participation rates of any state.
This is an opportunity for Colorado to celebrate our state’s leadership on voting rights, and call on Congress to make the secure, accessible voting we enjoy in Colorado the law across the nation. On Sunday July 11, two days before the All-Star Game, join our friends at Working Families Party and a broad coalition of organizations, speakers, and activists for a rally to celebrate Colorado’s all-star voting rights laws—and to call on Congress to ensure strong voting rights for all Americans.
What: All-Star Voting Rights Rally
When: Sunday, July 11 at 1:00pm
Where: Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus, Denver
The disparity between Colorado’s secure and accessible election system and those in other states that actively work to make voting harder is both a crisis for American democracy and an opportunity for Colorado to serve as the model for a better future. Thank you for your help getting this crucial message out.

Reproductive Justice is concerned with bodily autonomy, having children, not having children, and parenting in safe communities. When we look a bodily autonomy, we see the intersection with the rights of trans* individuals and those engaged in sex work. Having children includes support for infertility, birth equity, and maternal mortality. When we honor one’s choice not to have children, we work to address what prevents some from accessing birth control and abortion. I will outline how safe and sustainable communities are developed. Our storytellers will share their experiences trying to access care and maintain control of their bodies. Together we will discuss how reproductive justice conversation impacts us. You can ask the panelist questions so you can be a support for your friends, family, and community.
