  1. Lawrence O’Donnell had a fairly decent interview with the President until the very end.  Out of 100’s of personal questions he could have asked, bringing up Beau Biden was uncalled for, unnecessary and a real downer.

    1. I agree, GG. I watched that and wondered “What the hell, Lawrence?” At least O’Donnell kept his questions short, and didn’t maunder on as he usually does.

  2. Plant sale!
Mother’s day is over and hopefully it’s safe to put plants in dirt now. Shout out to Warren Tech’s Ag/Farm/food program at Acres farm by Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood. They have a decent selection of young plants you can buy online and pick up at the farm on May 20. Warren Tech is a Jeffco alternative high school.

  3. Daily Kos continues to feature performance artist Lauren Boebert:

FLAGRANT FOWL: QAnon GOP Rep Blames 'Biden's America' for Chick-fil-A Sauce Shortage

according to QAnon Rep. Lauren Boebert our tribulations have been thrust upon us by the singular cause of every problem known to mankind for the past four months: President Joe Biden. Or so says Boebert…

    https://twitter.com/laurenboebert/status/1392518888362061829

That's right! Somehow Biden is responsible for the Chick-fil-A sauce shortage that is devastating the nation. Boebert doesn't say exactly how Biden screwed this up, but she's certain that he's the one who did it. Just as certain as she is that Biden’s climate plan includes cutting 90% of red meat from our diets. It's a coordinated plot to hit the beef industry first, and then – BAM – go after poultry when people try to adjust. It's downright diabolical.

    1. I wonder if “Bungles Boebert” is aware that there is a lumber shortage right now in the US. The main reason is a big time Trump tariff on lumber imports from Canada. At least Biden has reduced that tariff to try and assist the situation.

    2. It simply MUST be painful to be that stupid. If that is so, she must be on some intense meds.

She is like a burrito of stupid. A pile of stupid shit, wrapped in an idiot tortilla….smothered in dumb sauce.

      Yeesh.

      1. Damn, Duke. We actually agree on something besides of love of all sorts of music.

As a follow up to a recent story, I wonder if anyone grabbed the rights to the Shooters' Grill name, or whatever she had let lapse.

        1. Nobody’s bought the rights to the Shooter’s Grill logo yet….but the sale is over tomorrow. Rural Colorado United will retain the logo and use it as they see fit, if no one bids on it. They were thinking about branded toilet paper.

  4. Why did you guys remove Wayne Williams and Jenna Ellis from the SoS section of the Big Line? Did they announce they were seeking other work?

    1. Jenna’s a lying nutcase,  which more exposure would make evident. But I see no evidence that she is running a doomed campaign for CO Sec State. Instead, she has a cushy gig working to misinform voters about election fraud, with the “Election Integrity Alliance”.

As for Wayne W, he and his wife Holly are evidently enjoying working for Colorado Springs City Council and El Paso County Commissioners, respectively. These jobs probably pay better than the S o S gig, anyway, as Scott Gessler can attest. It was upped $30K to $93,000, which is more reasonable for the level of responsibility.

Hopefully, Secretary Jena Griswold will continue doing excellent work for at least another term.

    1. In a related story, when asked, 77% of former GOPer antivax knuckleheads now claim to have been fully vaccinated (most, “earlier this morning”) . . .

      (. . . 22% said they didn’t understand the question, didn’t know, or thought they might be – but weren’t entirely sure . . .)

    2. Woohoo! I’ll still wear a mask in solidarity with students in schools – until most of them are vaccinated, which should be by next school year.

The anti-vaxxers are just going to have to suck it up and get their kids shots up-to-date, like they did for polio, tetanus, diptheria,MMR, etc.
