Today is Hostess Cupcake Day
You mean Dumbass Commercial Promotion Day No. 34,567?
My wife is trying to get signed up for medical insurance through the Colorado Obamacare Exchange. I just got the following from her:
And this is a woman who was CEO of a software company, so very technically literate.
After all these years you would think we would have a useable system for finding a plan on the exchange. Sad that the state is so fucking incompetent when it comes to software.
Call your legislator.
I assume they already know this is a cluster fuck.
My son would echo your wife's comments, David.
you'd think a wealthy nation would have universal healthcare coverage, but here we are
You'd think a wealthy state could implement a simple software program.
You're right that we should have universal healthcare. But when all we have is Obamacare, you would think the states could do a good job creating the exchanges.
My experience with the exchange last year was not as bad, if not good.
Pre-Medicare eligibility and post job-attached insurance, I applied for individual coverage on the health exchange. It was pretty straightforward once I did it myself. Earlier, I had tried to work with one of their “assistants”, private contractors who are supposed to help people navigate the system.
My “assistant” misinformed me abbout critical info, then “ghosted”- literally stopped communicating with me. Luckily, I was able to figure it out myself.
David, my brother’s an insurance broker. Keeping up with all the plan changes keeps him busy. Let me know if you need a hand. I can get you in touch
Please – david -at- thielen -dot- com
I tagged my sister-in-law and asked her to forward it to my brother;I don’t have his email. Let me know if he gets in touch.
As someone with several years of experience with Connect for Health, let me add my two cents. The lack of out-of-state coverage, except for emergencies, is a real problem, especially if you have college-age children.
In-network and out of network is a huge issue too. Even if you determine who is in-network (I confirmed with the doctor's office and the insurance ahead of time), the providers can and do drop an insurance company after the sign-up period. You can only sign up during a limited window, and you are stuck for a year. The providers can come and go as they choose. So if you pay extra for a plan that includes your doctor, you may still not get your doctor.
The software is piss poor, but the bigger problem is structural. These issues could be fixed, but there is no will to do so.
..and to repeat spaceman:
https://planfinder.connectforhealthco.com
Put in your doctors, medications you take. Click on "View Plan" for a plan you like and "General Plan Details" at the bottom to see all about in- and out-of-network coverage. Compare plans, if you like.
Grab ’em in the formative years and you have a MAGA for life? This baby-faced MAGA fraudster claimed to have 15yrs legal experience. He will have 13 months to consider the error of his ways.
Students for Trump founder John Lambert sentenced to 13 months for posing as a lawyer
And then…the money shot:
Geez, so what's a little bit of fraud among Ttumpers and GOPers? . . .
. . . Business as usual, that's all.
(Besides, we ain't got enough prisons for all of 'em.)
Thoughts and prayers . . .
. . . and Hell Ya! and bwahahahahaha!
Poor Wayne, if only he’d filed for moral bankruptcy, instead . . .
Epic. It takes superhuman drive, determination and dedication to get one's entire bankruptcy case shitcanned as having been filed in bad faith. Conglaturation to the NRA for believing and achieving!
