“Man’s capacity for justice makes democracy possible, but man’s inclination to injustice makes democracy necessary.”

Dept. Of Sometimes the Good Folks Win: the Washington Post reports that African elephants appear to have crushed a rhino poacher to death.
Yea Elephants. Take State!
Karma! What a wonderful bitch she can be!
The Senate is holding confirmation hearings for Biden’s three nominees to the board of the United States Post Office. One of them is Amber McReynolds, former head of the Denver elections division, and a leader in Denver’s successful ballot tracking program, which has now been implemented in 45 other states.
Amber McReynolds, CEO of the nonpartisan Vote at Home Institute (pictured)
would, if confirmed, join a postal worker’s union attorney, Anton Hajjar, and a retired Postmaster General and member of Biden’s transition team, Ron Stroman, in possibly firing current postmaster Louis DeJoy, and reversing some of his destructive policies.
It’s time to write to your Senators and urge them to confirm these nominees.
In a different time, DeJoy could have been a good person for the job of reforming the Post Office and making it operate better. But not in an election year and not when he was appointed by the worst president in American history, who also tried hard to manipulate the election process to his benefit.
Only Congress can resolve the biggest issue facing the Postal Service; doing away with the ludicrous requirement that the Service must pre-pay health benefits for future retirees. No other government agency has that.
Holy shit, CHB. We agree on something regarding the Post Office.
Just lie down until the feeling passes, kwtree☺
Today is Michaels' day: International Hemp Day
Thanks, barnes! (and a shout-out to Gov Polis for always being at the tip of the spear on sound hemp policy).
