Today (Saturday) is International Raw Milk Cheese Appreciation Day
An integral part of Dumbass Commercial Promotion Week.
This will fit right in: can anyone account for Nutter's whereabouts last night? He surely didn't miss this opportunity to blow his yuge tax savings on yet another GOP grifter?!?
Sure, Ali. Do you have any particular type of angel in mind?
Here in Douglas County, "this pandemic is over"
Who am I to question the logic or wisdom of the DougCo Commissioners, but they might be forgetting that one definition of pandemic is "an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people.”
So, a million new cases in Brazil from April 3-present is probably decent "evidence" that the pandemic is not in fact over. Meanwhile, saying "I had pancakes at a diner in Castle Rock the other day and didn't get sick" is more like an anecdote.
It's also National Crawfish Day and National Cheeseball Day.
Would have thought Cheeseball Day would come during the winter holiday season.
Oh, MyKevin®, I think you've mistakenly enrolled in one of the civics classes currently offered by the COGOP? (hint: you've confused your Lincolns)
Marjorie Taylor Greene scraps planned launch of controversial 'America First' caucus amid blowback from GOP
Has there ever been a bigger waste of time and energy than MTG?
Oh, wait…. Come to think of it
By this time tomorrow 50% of U.S. adults will have gotten at least one shot of coronavirus vaccine (thank you @POTUS):
Ken Buck will have a tele-town hall on Tuesday, April 27 at 6 pm.
Sign up link is here.
His latest constituent newsletter complains about Democrat’s “Court packing”, seeks to ban Tik Tok on government devices, and to ban late term abortion yet again.
These are all nonsense issues. The only accomplishment Buck has to brag about is co-sponsoring a bill , with Joe Neguse, to make Camp Amache, near Granada, CO, into a national historic park. Amache imprisoned thousands of Japanese citizens during WWII.
A decade ago the history teacher at Granada had adopted Amache as his project (given the place was given little attention from anyone). I don’t know if he’s still there but he was doing a great job keeping the history alive – and documented.
During the past few days, 9 News in Denver had a report on the Amache project. They interviewed a Granada teacher. May be the same guy. There was discussion of the Buck/Neguse bill to better protect the site and its remaining buildings.
Thx CHB! I’ll bet it’s the same guy then. That was the 2010 election cycle and I’ve lost track of him since then. All this reminds me we haven’t heard from NeonNurse in a while – another one of those SE Colorado treasures I met during that campaign!
Never underestimate the power of a teacher to get things done.
The Amache Preservation Society will be able to reach and teach so many more about intolerance towards Asians, immigrants, "the other"…. its mission will go so much further now.
Today (Sunday) is National Newspaper Columnists Day; which even V can support.
Hey, Dave, you got to know 'em to hate 'em!
