That's someone's sweet old grandma for Pete sakes, and she's obviously disoriented and scared. A little common sense would dictate that she is no threat, and doesn't need to be manhandled (which resulted in her being injured). What she needed was help. The other night my son-in-law responded to a huge naked guy with a knife in the middle of a street threatening people. They successfully disarmed him. I doubt highly that one of your beloved social workers could have done so well.

So, there is a new interactive map showing 2020 Presidential results by state legislative districts. There were no Trump-Dem districts in Colorado for either chamber, though there were 2 Biden-GOP districts in the House: HD-22 and HD-43. Both of these are kind of surprising to me. In the Senate there are 3 Biden GOP districts: SD-8 (a little surprising since it has been pretty Republican, though Polis carried it in 2018), SD-25 (no surprise), and SD-30 (very surprising).

Paul Childs wasn't violent. He was disturbed and the cop who responded knew that. Yes, he had a knife, but probably wouldn't; have done any harm if a STAR team had responded rather than a cop who was just tired of dealing with him. Read this, V :https://time.com/5955411/biden-police-reform/
Again, a knife-wielding repeat offender like Childs can’t be confused with Gandhi. The cop who killed him was suspended for violating standard procedure in those cases — primarily, if I recall, for not waiting for back-up.
There were two other cops at the scene with tasers. Indeed, Child’s family said he should have been tasered, not shot.
But proper procedure, like my son in law and his back-up used, would have spared his life. re-read the earlier article. None of the Star offenders were armed or dangerous. In many cases, the cops themselves called star. That’s great, where appropriate.
