    The overwhelming reaction of Gaetz’s GOP colleagues — a deafening silence. That reflects the resentments he’s sparked during his breakneck rise as one of the party’s celebrities and the challenge he faces to retain his seat….

    Among his only defenders this week has been Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who tweeted, “Take it from me rumors and headlines don’t equal truth.” Greene has become a pariah even among some Republicans for showing support for false and violent sentiments.

     

      1. Both her personal and official Twitter accounts have been eerily silent on the Matt Gaetz scandal. The last time she mentioned him was March 10.

        However, she did have a lot to say about the accusations against Mario Cuomo, so we can assume she feels the same about Gaetz?/s

         

        1. It's funny.  So, I'm curious.  Did she think the former one should have resigned when there were over 25 women who accused him of harassment/assault, and women he also paid off to cover up affairs, and, and, and…

          Did she think he should resign?  Asking for people who know absolutely nothing.

  7. hmm…it makes on wonder just how much "access" that lil' Loren qbert gave to Pervy Matt…ya know, down in the dark recesses of the Congress, while hiding from the light of the insurrection, could be quite sexy…

    How Trump Steered Supporters Into Unwitting Donations

    But what the Blatts believed was duplicity was actually an intentional scheme to boost revenues by the Trump campaign and the for-profit company that processed its online donations, WinRed. Facing a cash crunch and getting badly outspent by the Democrats, the campaign had begun last September to set up recurring donations by default for online donors, for every week until the election.

    Contributors had to wade through a fine-print disclaimer and manually uncheck a box to opt out.

    As the election neared, the Trump team made that disclaimer increasingly opaque, an investigation by The New York Times showed. It introduced a second prechecked box, known internally as a “money bomb,” that doubled a person’s contribution. Eventually its solicitations featured lines of text in bold and capital letters that overwhelmed the opt-out language.

    The tactic ensnared scores of unsuspecting Trump loyalists — retirees, military veterans, nurses and even experienced political operatives. Soon, banks and credit card companies were inundated with fraud complaints from the president’s own supporters about donations they had not intended to make, sometimes for thousands of dollars.

    . . . 

    The recurring donations swelled Mr. Trump’s treasury in September and October, just as his finances were deteriorating. He was then able to use tens of millions of dollars he raised after the election, under the guise of fighting his unfounded fraud claims, to help cover the refunds he owed.

    In effect, the money that Mr. Trump eventually had to refund amounted to an interest-free loan from unwitting supporters at the most important juncture of the 2020 race.

    In brief, to cover a desperate Ttump’s massive pre-election fund-raising fraud, he had to fraudulently sell the idea of a fraud election to the same folks he defrauded, fraudulently raising even more after the election so that his defrauded victims could pay themselves back . . .

    Don’t start shaking your head just yet, they will be uncovering this kind of stuff for decades . . . 

      1. One of the hardest things in life for many people is to face the truth that you have been fooled. This is a hard reality for Trumpers who have gone so far in, they have given up family, friends, and their personal dignity in swallowing the flood of lies from the Orange King, hisself.

        It is really hard to admit you were THAT wrong.

    Pilgrim’s Pride rolls out $1B sustainability bond

    Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation recently announced that it would offer a $1 billion “sustainability linked bond tied to efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emission intensity across its global operations.” Fabio Sandri, the company’s global CEO, said the bond and the 2040 net-zero goal “reinforce our company’s long-standing commitment to responsible environmental stewardship and sustainable food production.”

     

     

  10. Piney Point is going to be a 20 foot wall of toxic, super-fund level toxic, wall of water maybe in a day or two or sometime later. 

     

    But here's the 'mystery.'

    Why does Governor Desantis or any R think that government involvement is the answer? Shouldn't the free market be solving this problem?
