Just insert Jan Brewer’s name if you want to make it a Round Robin.
Oh, and speaking of the worst Governor in the lower 49, did you see this? I feel sorry for my friends in Arizona who are very tired of their state being the laughing stock of the nation. http://www.aolnews.com/2011/04…

Great start for today’s Fest.
I sent the ‘birther’ piece earlier to a friend who just spent the winter in Arizona. To say she and her husband think Brewer (and the legs.) is scary as hell is an understatement.
In high school and college, I worked at an outdoor ice rink in my home town. The rink opened sometime around 1965 or 1966 and came with two things from an old WWII through ’50s era rink in Wayne, NJ that had been bulldozed a few years earlier to make way for the Willowbrook shopping mall: A living fossil former six-day bike racer named Alf Goullet as our first manager, and an old Seeburg Select-O-Matic record changer filled with big band music.
For many years, four nights a week and Saturday and Sunday afternoons, I skated around in a left-hand circle, more than 2000 miles a year, to the music in that Seeburg. No rock ‘n roll allowed, as it “would upset the neighbors.” Needless to say, through the force of repetition alone, it made an impression on all of us who worked there.
On Monday, I received a CD burned half as a joke by a cousin of mine who also worked at the rink. It contained a selection of songs from the old Seeburg.
But there was no Glen Miller on it. No Pennsylvania 6-5000, no Moonlight Serenade, no American Patrol, no String of Pearls; none of the Miller songs I remember from the Seeburg. So I embarked on a search just in case my cousin ever decides to put out a Volume II of music from the ice rink. My search put me “In The Mood” for a little Glen Miller music.
While searching, I came across this clip from Miller’s second movie, “Orchestra Wives.” It features the Miller Orchestra, Miller himself on trombone and conducting, Tex Beneke on sax and vocals, and harmony from the Modernaires and Marion Hutton, actress Betty Hutton’s sister. Toward the end, there’s a terrific dance number by the Nicholas Brothers. It’s got some extras too. If you look closely, you’ll see Cesar Romero with his thin, stereotypical, Latin-lover mustache pretending to play piano, and a very young Jackie Gleason on bass.
I can just picture you ice skating round and round:-)If I could just photoshop your present body into this routine:
I wouldn’t have my present body.
Besides, she’s wearing figure skates. Nothing but Bauer Supremes for me. Back in the day, they were made from kangaroo leather.
has good music ever been played. Figure skating can be amazing to watch on TV, but only if the sound is turned off. The clothes are awful too.
For the 73rd Day of Pols Mailbag Vol. 2 Held Hostage, here’s one song they always played at our local rink:
Our ice rink was down on 4th street and long ago gave way to the University of Louisville expansion into an old neighborhood strip mall. The music was a bit more bluesy than swing but you brought back a lot of memories. Thanks.

Or: “Repo Man (redux)”:

Let’s have a war!
Jack up the Dow Jones

A push from the Left
And a shove from the Right
Add a little Dizzy.
Slightly unrelated, but come on! No one should sound this good.
