This morning, I noticed that Cory Gardner’s official website was in violation of House Ethics rules in linking to his campaign Twitter account. It seems like a little thing, but he was using his official site to advertise and connect people to campaign material.
Well, less than 8 hours later, he removed the offending links and gutted his official website of a great deal of content. It still links to an article about him attending a county fundraiser though. I think that’s inappropriate too.
I think he and his staff need to be more careful in making sure they are keeping all of their campaign work separate from their official work. The only way we can keep politicians honest is b being vigilant. And it doesn’t make me too upset that it being pointed out may have inconvenienced/annoyed him and his staff and made them work to erase the violation so quickly.
