That they dissed Cleveland.
They really, really need to win Ohio.
It’s bold. It’s sends the message that the Dems aren’t going to settle for just the traditional mid-west battlegrounds, they plan on fighting it out in traditionally red 2004 Obama states like North Carolina, Indiana, etc.
If they had picked Minn or Ohio, the media narritive would be that they were already losing. You don’t score any goals playing only defense.
First King James, next 21 straight losses and still going, now the Dems?

Next they’ll move the rock ‘n roll hall of fame museum to LA. Or Philly. Or New York.
why the Rock HOF is in Cleveland. Memphis makes more sense IMO. Guess I’ll google it one of these days…

He played rhythm and blues music, but because of the Jim Crow mentality that was in effect at the time, he had to come up with a different name or white people wouldn’t buy the records (also called “race music” at the time). He renamed the music rock ‘n roll.
That was, of course, before Alan Freed was discredited in the Payola scandal.

as the country’s second-largest banking center and with an up-and-coming African American mayor. North Carolina also has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations. Sounds like an excellent location to trumpet tax and immigration reform over the next two years.

Hold onto North Carolina, at least. Florida, if possible. Anything else would be, as they say in New Orleans, a lagniappe.
