It came up in the MSM because yesterday was the guy’s preliminary hearing. Really I just wanted an excuse for some early morning punning. Plus it’s a hilarious story for many reasons.

Seriously.
I virtually never hear them mentioned. They used to be pretty competitive as far as conservative blogs go, but since their comeback of sorts last year I haven’t heard a peep from them. Compared with PPC, Colorado Drudge and WhoSaidYouSaid, they’re barely even a blip on the radar.
I don’t have a problem with them or anything, I just never see anybody linking to them on social networking sites or blogs.
Last I remember there is something called the US Constitution whose 5th, 6th and 14th Amendments are construed, by all courts but maybe not by Colorado Pols fanatics, to confer a presumption of innocence until proven guilty by a reasonable doubt. The story is fun for us but I am sure not fun for any of the parties involved. And Ron Smith is a decent fellow if you really know him.
