  1. …I for one, am glad I don’t have to see that shrieking harpy Coultier anymore.

And considering how much we spend talking about music, this just might be a very well-targeted ad.

            1. puppy obsessions.  Do yours have friends?  Mine would love a couple of youngins to chase around.  If they’re old enough for a play date we should totally set one up.  Since my understanding is that we live very close to each other.

    1. If it is, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Bruce believes in free market and jobs though, so I’m sure when the collection agency goes after him it will only be him stimulating the economy.  People gotta work.

      1. Once again, Bruce pulls a dodge and weave:

Bruce told The Gazette earlier this month that he’s formally dissolving ACT because the organization is broke. He said the group has no money to pay any fines.

On Tuesday, Bruce called the ruling a “total fraud,” and said his only connection with ACT is as a “volunteer bookkeeper.”

I do adore how he tries to distance himself from the organization when he was one of the principal organizers of ACT and listed as their registered agent until 4 months ago.

Violation number one : The ACT is registered as an education organization, not a political issue committee. ACT ran a secret campaign to bring 60, 61 and 101 to a ballot.

Violation number two: never filed a single campaign finance report after raising over $200,000.

        1. of a minimally-connected “volunteer bookkeeper” is the ability to “formally [disolve] . . . the organization”?

Dougy, Dougy, Dougy . . . you so funny.

          1. but if ACT decides not to pay, the debt is turned over to the state’s collection agency, the Department of Personnel and Administration, who has the option to table the fine since it’s pretty rare that they follow through with collecting the fine.

A private party can also sue ACT to collect the fine.

            1. The DPA should not table the fine, but rather pursue ACT’s organizers for blatant disregard for the law.

Since ACT was largely a Douggy Bruce front, and he’s been playing hard-to-get with the law, he needs to be made example of.

        2. not from him, but about him —

And I have worked with many GOP candidates and Legislators in Colorado – few are as honest, intelligent, and as forthright as Doug Bruce

(I think I love this quote most not for what it says about Doug Bruce, but for what it seems to says about GOP candidates and legislators.)

            1. Then “who” is probably correct.

But if you subscribe the old spinster school of the English language (the one we were all taught), you probably would have written, “to whom was the quote attributed?”
