A Day In The Life of a Beauprez Staffer

  • by: stony

One of Bob Beauprez’s field staffers put up this  blog a while back.

For anyone who has ever wondered what they are smoking at the Beauprez campaign, this staffer provides us an answer in the form of his step-by-step description of his day:

12:00 am: Smoked with ***, ***, *** and ***, headed over to Farrand.
1:00 am: Finally got the tent sent up, the wind was a bitch.
1:30 am: The cops came and told us to take the tent down, but we persuaded them to let us keep it for a while.
2:00 am: Went to bed.
4:00 am: Woke up.
4:20 am: People started arriving in the masses. I’d say there were about 200 people lighting up.
4:35 am: Cops chased everyone away, went back to sleep.
9:00 am: Woke up, smoked.
10:00 am: Cops were dicks, asked us to take down tent.
11:00 am: Went to writing class, stoned.
12:00 pm: Lunch, then back over to Farrand. Smoked with a bunch of people we knew.
3:00 pm: Came back to the room to roll some up for ***, *** and ***.
4:00 pm: Went back over to Farrand.
4:20 pm: Thousands of kids came out to smoke, and tons of pot was smoked. (See the pictures here)
4:30 pm: Still Smoking……
5:00 pm: Still Smoking……
5:15 pm: *** got here from Ft. Collins.
5:30 pm: Drove up Baseline with *** and *** to go smoke. Some nice views from up there.
6:00 pm: Came back, smoked here.
6:30 pm: Ate dinner, then smoked.
7:00 pm: *** and *** left. Rolled some more for *** and ***.
8:00 pm: Smoked more in the room, watched Jon Stewart.
8:30 pm: Fell asleep.
4:00 am (on the 21st): Woke up, didnt realize it was the next day, smoked more, went back to bed.
What’s Bob Beauprez’s position on marijuana again?

This wingnut intersperses his drug-themed posts with political posts on why George W. Bush is great and John Kerry is the devil, thus proving that you don’t have to be an idiot to vote for Bush, you can also take lots of drugs.

(Names of people who are not stoned Beauprez staffers in the quoted post were removed)

  1. I liked this bit (dated July 10, 2005, less than 2 months before Katrina):

    Commence Hurricane Season ’05
    The Rules:

Put on CNN or any other cable news network.
    1) Every time they show you footage of damage from a hurricane, drink 2.
    2) Every time they mention wind speed or category X, drink 1.
    3) When you see a reporter who is braving the hurricane, drink 4 (2 for this rule, 2 for the rule below)
    4) Every time they use the shittiest grainest video satellite phone or whatever, drink 2.
    5) When they tell you how many people are without power, drink one for every hundred thousand (ex. 400,000 without power=4drinks, 1,000,000=10 drinks)

Enjoy, Hurricane Dennis drinking game is going on right now.

God bless the youth of today!

BUT…. how do you know he’s a Beauprez staffer? I navigated around his site, nothing I found identified him as such. He’s clearly a young republican but is he actually working for Beauprez?

    1. Stony, given that you haven’t replied, and haven’t posted anything else on this  site, I have to conclude that your claims that this was posted by a Beauprez staffer isn’t true. If it is, you’ll need to offer proof. There may very well be staffers on his campaign who wiled away their free time at college doing what this guy did, but it’s only rumor without better proof.

      1. Sorry I didn’t back to you right away. I usually check in a few times a week late at night after work.

Somebody at Squarestate/Soapblox did some digging into this same topic and offered this:

        Proof
Yahoo caches of his CU website:

        http://search.yahoo.com/search?_adv_prop=web&ei=UTF-8&va=yarusso&va_vt=any&vst=on&vs=ucsu.colorado.edu&vf=all&vm=i&fl=0&n=10&fr=fp-top&b=11

Daily Camera article about said Beauprez staffer protesting against the “evil Ward Churchill”:

        http://www.dailycamera.com/bdc/buffzone_news/article/0,1713,BDC_2448_3732539,00.html

MySpace profile of said Beauprez staffer w/ photo and mentions of Beauprez campaign as well as links to his now-dead website:
        http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=13601760

Picture of said Beauprez staffer on Beauprez blog for comparison:
        http://blog.beauprezforgovernor.com/2006/06/team_beauprez_i.html

Anyway, to add on to that. I found the guy in Beauprez’s campaign expenditures at the SoS and found a Yahoo cache of his CU site that pointed to his blog.

        1. Thanks for the info. I saw on his site somewhere a quote from Ann Coulter about the supreme court being 9 unelected officials making law. I had to wonder if she and this guy held that opionion regarding Bush v. Gore…
