Donald Trump says Cory Gardner is with him 100%—”no waver.”

Last Friday, Trump commuted the sentence of his close associate Roger Stone, who was convicted of a felony for lying to Congress in order to protect Trump. It’s a betrayal of basic American values so egregious that even Trump’s corrupt Attorney General William Barr advised against it.

Russia helped Donald Trump become President. This is not in dispute. Roger Stone knew about it, and lied to protect Donald Trump. Trump commuting Stone’s sentence is the greatest act of presidential corruption since Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon, and it’s the final proof that the President of the United States has no respect for the law.

As usual, Sen. Cory Gardner couldn’t be reached for comment. Being with Trump “100% of the time, no waver” means knowing when to keep quiet. Because Gardner and the U.S. Senate failed to act when we needed them most, we have the worst President in American history at the worst possible moment in history. Gardner can run from news reporters, and since he does it so often, he’s a running joke in Washington.

But he can’t run from the voters of Colorado, and our moment is almost here. Thanks as always for everything you do to fight back and hold the right accountable–and here are a few more ways to make a difference for the week of July 13:

2020 Virtual CIRC Member Assembly

Every year, over 250+ of Colorado’s immigrant and refugee community leaders join in one space to decide on the policy priorities for the following year at the CIRC Annual Member Assembly. Join the conversation and decision-making by joining virtually this year for the 2020 CIRC Member Assembly. The theme this year is Hope, Courage, and Persistence. This year’s theme is based off a poem our staff found at a placard when visiting The National Memorial for Peace and Justice, a monument remembering the lives of the hundreds of African Americans lost to lynching.

When: July 18-19

It’s up to us now to solve the problems Cory Gardner won’t. Thanks for your help, and we’ll see you next week.
