Business update: Back in business, met payroll along the way, additional seating in parking lot is on its way, glad to be heard because our freedom is a right, not a government permission. Thank you for all of your support. Now let’s go win this Republican primary and continue the fight for freedom in DC!
That’s the latest word from CD-3 Republican candidate Lauren Boebert, the Shooters Grill in Rifle is back open for business as the whole state and more importantly in in Boebert’s case Garfield County reopen–and it looks like Boebert’s campaign of gastronomical defiance didn’t earn her a heavy penalty after all. We’ll have to wait a few more days to be sure she didn’t spread any COVID-19 with the Shooters Grill’s chicken tenders. For reasons ethical and legal that could yet rain on Boebert’s parade.
Politically, of course, and as we’ve said all along, Boebert’s protest opening of the Shooters Grill was a great opportunity to shovel red meat at CD-3 GOP primary voters just a few weeks before ballots go out. Boebert milked her “plight” for all the free press it was worth, which was considerable. And it provided Boebert a broader audience to watch her shell her incumbent Republican opponent, Rep. Scott Tipton:
Scott Tipton and “The Squad,” ladies and gentlemen. Boebert explains why in the Facebook post accompanying this graphic, but let’s be honest. It doesn’t matter why. It’s Scott Tipton and “The Squad,” in your face. As they say in advertising, it sells itself.
We’re reticent to make predictions in a district where the prognosticators have been burned before, but we increasingly feel as though top-line candidate Boebert beating Tipton in the GOP CD-3 primary would not be the strangest thing 2020 threw at the world.
I know truth don't matter no more, but would still be interested in her response if asked whether the bill she's criticizing old whazzhisface for would benefit the Garfield County in which she does bidness…
If you can be gulled into believing that Whatshisdouche is now working in concert with The Squad, . . .
. . . you probably live in, or around, Rifle?!
Some primary results around Colorado will be a good measure of where the Republican Party is going (or has already gone) – will Yosemite Samantha beat Tipton? In Senate District 8 will Deb Irvine beat incumbent Bob Rankin? And I'm sure there are other GOP races with a similar how-extreme-can-we-be flavor. Freedumb and Liburty!!!
