Dan Maes almost made it....

On his day to make history™, Dan Maes came close, if by close you count the distance between the earth and the moon.

His campaign finance report for the period of Sept. 16-29 includes the day in which he predicted he would make history – Sept. 17 – and on that day, the campaign finance report says they raised…..wait for it…..

Nothing.

The Sept. 17 report does not list even one contribution.

On Sept. 20, however, a “batch” report for a variety of online and mail contributions, ranging from one dollar to $1,050, totals $15,214.04.

He fell short of the $500,000 goal he said he would raise only by $484,785.96.

Close enough 🙂
