The Most Extreme Candidate in Colorado

  • by: ReturnToSanity

Forget Dan Maes and Ken Buck, HD59 candidate J. Paul Brown takes the cake for the most extreme candidate in Colorado.  Fresh off of his “Hillary and the U.N. are going to take our guns” conspiracy theory, http://coloradopols.com/diary/… Brown reaffirmed his support for Amendment 62.  Even when asked if he would support it knowing it limited birth control and abortion for rape and incest victims.

But the extremism didn’t stop there.  Brown continued to ride the crazy train last night in a debate in Durango where he explained his vote for corporal punishment in schools as a member of the Ignacio School Board.

To top off the evening, Brown gave a one line answer as to how he would deal with climate change in the state legislature:

With 40 days left until the election we are sure to see some more gems of wisdom from J. Paul.

  1. .

Meet some of your neighbors.  Find out what they think.

While I don’t happen to agree with his position on global climate change, a lot of your and my neighbors do.

Either that, or the word “extreme” doesn’t mean what you think it does.

    .

  2. Do your neighbors support getting rid of abortion for rape victims and not letting people use IUD birth control?  Or hitting kids in school?  I have never heard a good teacher say that we should hit kids in school.

  3. He’s a former county commissioner.  I think the electorate has moved on since then, but still.

J Paul still needs to answer one question:  why is he against the stimulus, TARP, and other government programs but a strong supporter of predator control?  Also, his family is one of two in the county that takes the most advantage of the program, by far.  I look forward to the day when this hypocrite will do the same as he talks.
