As voters prepared to go to the polls on November 8, 1988, newspaper editorials mirrored lawmakers’ understanding that the 120-day limit was just that: A cap on how long the General Assembly would meet with a defined beginning and end. Or as the editorial board of the Colorado Springs Gazette put it: “At the very least, if you believe the adage that no one's life, liberty or property are safe when the Legislature is in session, then Amendment 3 would keep us safe for two- thirds of the year.” Editorial, “Assure Citizens’ Legislature,” Colorado Springs Gazette (Nov. 5, 1988).

      1. I looked on Wormtongue’s “Rudy Giuliani CommonSense” website, and found this gem:

Rudy Giuliani “”really impressed” with handling of coronavirus.

If there is justice, Ol’ Rudy will spend his last hours gasping in a ventilator.

    1. Very.

Is this is the place where the violence and oppression starts?

We recently watched a documentary about the 1918 Influenza pandemic. OMFG

"I had a little bird, her was name Enza…

I opened a window, and in flew Enza."

      1. Back on planet you’reFOXingkiddingme, that 1918 hoax thing? — nothing but more revisionist history designed to make President I-Alone-Can-Save-You/I-Take-No-Responsibilty and his amazing leadership look bad now by comparison . . .

Birx —> Borx —> Box —> FOX  (”Now, don’t adjust that dial.”):

Dr. Deborah Birx: Coronavirus data not matching extreme predictions

The White House response coordinator for the coronavirus task force said Thursday that extreme predictions about the pandemic don’t line up with the incoming data, while also pushing back against unfounded rumors that could alarm the public.
