Adding to my comment in Friday's open thread about Russian loans to Trump, has anyone wondered why Trump caved in to Erdogan regarding the Syrian Kurds, our allies against ISIS? Is it a coincidence that the Trump Organization owns a big hotel in Istanbul?

I knew there was a good reason I haven't watched a single Broncos game this year. Speaking of sports and politics, it seems Governor Polis has sent letters asking Kroenke Sports, Comcast, and DISH to resolve their billing issues for Nuggets & Avs games. Of course, that would mean Kroenke stops seeing itself in the same league as ESPN, which it isn't, and thus able to charge ESPN level fees.

The article is interesting, especially in seeing the marketplace at work. But it appears coal will still be around for a while.
Worth doing a little research into anthracite, which is the closest to clean burning coal that exists. Generally not used much for power generation due to its expense. Anthracite is approved in the UK's 1993 Clean Air Act for use in the Greater London area.
Most US deposits are in the northeastern PA area. Apparently it was also mined near Crested Butte, here in Colorado. A branch of the old Rio Grande narrow gauge went north from Gunnison to service the mines. The Marshall Pass narrow gauge line, from Salida to Montrose, was abandoned in the early 1950s.
