      1. I’m ambivalent about his resume. I can see him how his work at Bain may be a problem for some people. He does have A track record as a successful two term governor wedged between several Republican governors elected in a very blue state.

governors must solve problems whereas senators make speeches.

  1. “Charter schools = local control”

    Todo bien, right?

    Especially if you’re a, pro-education-parents-deserve-choice-government-schools-and-teachers-unions-are-miserably-failing-our-students-especially-minorities type Real® Ttump-humpin’ American, huh?

    Well, maaaaybeee not . . .

A Charter School Gets Canceled for Wanting to Teach Indigenous History

    https://newrepublic.com/article/155731/charter-school-gets-canceled-wanting-teach-indigenous-history

    Now, if it were only a Betty DeVos for-profit, federally-guaranteed-student-loan-grifting, science-and-history-denying, private-education scam, then maaaaybeee ? . . .

  2. The day after the big day of impeachment bombshell testimony and Colorado Pol Cats don’t even have a lead story on the doom facing President Trump. Trump is President, Hillary is not. Too funny! Even the esteemed witness couldn’t identify an impeachable offense. But they did say they heard a guy talking to a guy who talked to a guy that knew of a guy who never met Trump say he was dirty.

Don’t you people ever get tired of being Charlie Brown?

Time for an intervention here with my Pol Cat friends, no impeachment; vote in November in 2020. Give your psyche a rest for the next year or order some CBD oil from Blowman. The Country needs you be well.

    1. Your concern trolling is duly noted. You wanna bet on that impeachment? I could use an extra 20 or so. I expect that Trump will be impeached by Christmas. What happens after that is unpredictable; but he will be going into the 2020 election with a big dark dirty cloud following him, like Pig Pen. (Another Peanuts comic reference).

    2. So, Powerful Pear —

do you think it is acceptable for the President of the United States to condition a legitimizing visit of a foreign President and appropriated foreign aid that has gained all necessary certifications in order to trigger an investigation of one or more US citizens?

When it comes to figuring out an impeachable offense, I tend to go with people who have studied, practiced and written about Constitutional law.  The ones I read — progressive, mainstream and conservative — make impeachment sound pretty inevitable. I'm happy to read more widely:  got anyone beyond Congress or congressional staff who says depositions and testimony are not damning to Trump?

One other quick question based on one of the revelations from yesterday: is it appropriate to have discussions between the US President and the US Ambassador to the European Union “using an open cellphone to communicate?” While the Ambassador is sitting in a Ukrainian restaurant? With the volume loud enough that at least two Foreign Service members could hear and recognize the voice of the President?

      1. Since no one is above the law, Democrats love to say that, I would be disappointed if Trump didn’t ask Ukraine to investigate the involvement of the Biden’s in the 2016 election. I would think you would also want to know how foreign powers influenced the election.

Biden will drop out before the first primary, He is not a viable candidate…..ever.

        1. You might have a semi-valid point for once regarding Biden’s son, simpleton, . . .

. . . if you had anything like, oh I don’t know, evidence maybe?

But, since you got nothing but already investigated and discredited FOX blather and your pear stem in your pfruity hand, well, you know . . .

        2. Pear you are arguing from the position that Trump wanted Hunter Biden investigated solely for the purpose of rooting out corruption in the Ukraine, which is laughable at best.  We're all (presumably) adults here and know what is going on. C'mon.

          1. Do any of you think Joe Biden has a serious chance of wining the Democratic primary? You think 2020 and I say 2016. Trump knows Biden is a buffoon and so does every Democrat. That’s why Biden is irreverent as to 2020 impeachment evidence.

No one is above the law, even the Biden’s.

            1. Kinda’ make you wonder why Donnie the MAGAnificient was so worried about irreverent Biden that he had to extort and bribe Ukraine to manufacture some dirt, huh? . . .

              . . . or, why Biden’s being irreverent mattered?

              Dope.

        3. Joe Biden wasn't much involved with the 2016 election.  To the best of my knowledge, Hunter Biden had zero involvement.

And still, you don't have an answer to either of my questions — someone who understands Constitutional law?  A President using unsecured communication to discuss US relations with an Ambassador?

          1. Pretty simple. I don’t believe the Ambassador’s aid. You have believed every one of Schiff’s claim that never proved true. You believed everything MJ published that never came true.

If the President making a phone call secure or not is all you have…..then it is devastating to…………

If you don’t think Biden was in not involved in 2016, you know nothing about a campaign. I would like to see kid Biden’s resume and employment application he sent to Burisma, or his pre-employment drug test. Just think Godfather.

            1. Just curious…what is it that I have “published that never came true”?
You like to invoke me as some kind of leftie propagandist, yet can never actually provide an example of anything I wrote that was proven false….why not?

        1. CHB is almost as misguided as you, but not nearly as churlish and rude.

Answer JIDs' questions, why don't you? Do you really not understand why no one takes you seriously?

If the folks at Waffle House ever read this blog, they will stop letting you in. They don't allow knuckleheads.

        2. Gee. Lots of fun happening here while I was out in "Bowman land" yesterday.

Why would you care what I think, Pear, while you're so busy telling all WHAT YOU THINK?

            1. Michael: thanks for your kind offer. I was in Wray just in the morning for a Parks & Wildlife meeting. Then headed back to "metro" immediately. Was a very pleasant drive both ways.

    1. If I win you send a $20 to Elizabeth Warren. Tulsi will have dropped out of the Presidential race by Christmas, but I suppose I could always contribute to her Congressional re-election campaign. She's actually pretty good on some issues: $15 minimum wage, cannabis, Medicare for all, criminal justice reform. (banning private prisons, ending cash bail, decriminalizing marijuana).

    1. Only two dead and few others injured. Negev limits his visits here for the really mass carnage cases.

We may have to make due with Fluffy telling us that "freedom is never free" or this is all Gavin Newsom's fault.
