Mike Bloomberg — The Retirement Plan I've Been Waiting For!
I hereby offer my services as a Mike Bloomberg national delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention. Cost: a mere $3 million (routing number available upon request.) Now, don't any of you try to undercut me and run for a lesser sum. We must not engage in a bidding war!!
If Bloomberg gets delegates and actually appears at the DNC, I think that will make him the most successful NYC mayor in national politics. de Blasio, Bloomburg, Giuliani, and Lindsay are the ones I recall making a run. Lindsay got a few delegates from early primaries, but withdrew when he got shellacked in some of the later ones.
Lindsay and Shirley Chisholm teamed up in Colorado so they could share one delegate to the national convention.
Too much carbon dioxide . . .
. . . global warming and its just as evil twin, ocean acidification.
. . . But, let’s all party like it’s 1959!!!!
Last one left on the planet, don’t forget to turn out the lights . . .
. . . Ah, fuck it, on second thought it isn’t really gonna’ matter, is it?
Noel Casler attempts to explain climate change to David Dennison in terms John Barron might understand…
I think similar analogies will need to be used to explain it to nutlid.
I don’t think the little fella is quite ready for ‘sciency’ conversations yet.
Sad. Not.

"Colorado is approving less [sic] than half the number of oil and gas well locations and new drilling permits it was before this spring’s overhaul of state laws regulating the industry.
…
The COGCC extended that distance to 2,000 feet after the a health-impact study published in October found exposure to the chemical benzene can spike within that distance during a phase of new-well drilling.
…
Fewer new permits will eventually lead to decreased production and a smaller industry. Critics of SB-181 warned it could pitch the state’s economy into recession
