Comments following this diary pertain to my original text saying how much I hated this video.
THEN,
astute reader “Julie” sent me the link to the video it was parodying (which I had never seen), which suddenly made the Bennet video very funny.
So, I am deleting my original post and have “egg on my face”. I am officially “today’s ass”.
Sorry, everyone. Enjoy the videos.

I mean, right? It’s not, right?
Either that or they’re reaching out to people much, much younger than me!
I found it on U-tube.
They can’t fire me for saying so; I don’t get paid.
You’re wrong. The first time I saw this ad, I suddenly wanted a Kia Soul. Now, after seeing this, I just want to vote for Michael Bennet even more.
I like that Bennet showed his funny side. This video is silly, yeah. But sometimes we all need to just lighten up.
but that’s not Michael’s funny side. He has one (and a very sharp and spontaneous one at that), but this isn’t it. This is the funny side of the people who made the video for Michael’s campaign.
I still think it’s awesome. I’ve had several friends who, after seeing the Kia video suddenly are like, “wow, I could suddenly see myself in a Kia Soul…”
The Bennet crew picked up on this, and made an awesome video that makes everyone (including “cats in the alley” Romanoff supporters) laugh. Well, everyone except peacemonger.
Hopefully some of ’em will think, “wow, i could see myself getting with Bennet…” which is precisely the point.
It is a potentially effective ad, which, in the grand scheme of things, is a shame, because it has nothing to do with who is best qualified to be our senator. But such is life….
(Don’t get me wrong: I think that Michael would be the hands-down choice in a rational world, and I want him to win in this irrational one as well.)

Now, I’ll put on my hat and go sit in the dunces corner for awhile.
I had no idea what you were talking about until you sent me that link.
DUH.
Call me Julie, I’ll tell you why I don’t like it.
Why don’t you like it?
(I was reading quickly and the first thought I had was “uh oh, someone’s trying to out someone” and this ain’t good. Then I got it. Groan! Good one, David.)
What’s not to love about hamsters rolling down the street in a clothes dryer? The opponents cardboard bus cracked me up too.
I think I have an obligation to tell the campaign why I don’t like it, first. I’m hoping they’ll ask.
The song is kind of catchy though, I admit.
God help me, I love that last line.
Still not enough to forgo my Unaffiliated status.
(Although, who knows? I have recently developed a curious interest in the new Kia’s.)
I am a total ASS. I have never seen this commercial before! I stand before you, head hanging low, tail between my legs, clearly out of touch with everyone under age 45.
Shame be upon me.

I’m like McInnis. I keep plagiarizing (myself).

They must not have them on C-Span or CNN.
