Hold my beer. Betsy DeVos is Secretary of Education! Ba-ha-ha-ha (thunder and lightning going off outside of a dark haunted castle)

The guy in charge of implementing the China trade deal is George Wentz, a Colorado con artist, member of the Illuminati, believer in alchemy, and a Presidential Scholar who will sell you a degree for $278.

Maddow had the scoop on Wentz a couple of nights ago. Crooks and Liars has an update.

Trump announced that he will be giving Coreless Cory Gardner millions of dollars in exchange for his vote against impeachment essentially bribing the jury.  Just another corrupt Thursday.

Mitch reminded the OD that he was worrying too much. He had forgotten that Republican senators can simply be bought when you need them.

    Junior is practically a Nostradamus?

Donald Trump Jr., the president's eldest son, told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday evening that he wishes his name was Hunter Biden, former Vice President Joe Biden's son, so that he too could profit off his father's presidency.

After weeks of pretending they wanted a formal impeachment process, every Republican member of the House today voted against a formal impeachment process.

One can only shake ones head and anticipate an increase in the new political barometer you mentioned yesterday…the WTFs per day/hr are becoming WTFs per minute.

And their base will not waiver in the face of their hypocrisy…in the name of their God.

I think the GOP position is — unless you find the body on 5th Avenue, there is no basis for impeachment.  And if you do find a bullet-riddled body on 5th avenue, you will have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt to us that it wasn't a suicide.

    Happy impeachment day!

the only real surprise was the fact that not a single Republican – not even Rooney who said an investigation was warranted – voted for the resolution.

this is a harbinger of how it will go in the Senate. My prediction:  47 to remove (46 Dems plus Mitt Romney) to 53 to acquit (52 Republican plus Joe Manchin).

  9. Genghis says:

The National Fraternal Order of Police is worried that those wicked Dems in Congress will treat Trump's due process rights as though they were a common unarmed black child.

I wonder about the tactic I saw recently — which is the House considers the evidence, creates an impeachment resolution and votes on it.

If it is as purely partisan as today's vote (as I expect it will be), the House votes to impeach but not send the charges to the Senate.  The exception would be if there are at least 20 Republican Senators who affirmatively say they are open to the possibility of conviction.  If there is no such statement, vote to not send the impeachment articles to a biased jury and pass a House resolution of censure on the President and the top members of the Administration found to have collaborated in the Ukrainian action or cover-up.

Lay it all out in the record.  Make a book out of it and offer it at a low, low, REALLY low price.  Make e-copies available online. Urge people to read it and point out no Republican voted for the process OR the outcome.

It would have to be a comic book, with loads of pictures. better if pictures could be naked celebrities with puppies.

The problem with that, John, is that the people who would be willing to read the book have already been following the story and know what is going on.

The people who should read the book either: (a) won't read the book because Fox News tells them the book is all about a big hoax, or (b) cannot read the book because they do not know how to read.

I suppose MADCO's suggestion about a comic book with pictures may be one way to get the message to some of them.
