  1. Good for you, ColoPols! This blog often informs, and always fosters real debate (even if a tad left-leaning since Laura Teal was booted – justifiably – for pilfering poster’s IP addresses). Compare ColoPols to the hapless RedState, which has become boring and homogeneous since they started “banning” people they disagree with – all because an editor there got caught plagiarizing and couldn’t face his critics. (Yup, “banning” is what they call it – apparently RedState’s editors are too immature to appreciate the apartheid origins of their practice.)

So thanks, ColoPols, for helping sustain what this country is founded on – free speech. Though some posters are at times inane, repetitive, or prone to ad hominem rants (e.g., 98% of today’s open thread), they’re easily ignored.

  2. Totally Cool.
    Congrats!

Now for something to chill the posters…
A new form of lawsuit called a “CyberSLAPP” suit is threatening to overturn the promise of anonymous online speech and chill the freedom of expression that is central to the online world.
CyberSLAPP cases typically involve a person who has posted anonymous criticisms of a corporation or public figure on the Internet. The target of the criticism then files a frivolous lawsuit just so they can issue a subpoena to the Web site or Internet Service Provider (ISP)involved, discover the identity of their anonymous critic, and
    intimidate or silence them.

  3. Uh yeah, except no mention of the Post article today about Ricky O’donnel’s fund raiser with (10) “Industry Insiders” meeting exclusively with an EPA official.  Hope you guys were just to busy to get to it, otherwise your slippin

  4. CONGRATULATIONS!

Speaking for myself, it’s been a wonderful experience. The policy differences, the vision differences, the humor…….it’s been great. Let freedom ring!

  5. A well earned honor.  The blogosphere is reminiscent of the press back in Jefferson’s day — brutal and partisan but vital and inspiring.

  6. I agree with George. It is a great place to vent and argue differing opinions. I like most everything about it except for Sir Robin.
His hour long socialist tirades get old.

  7. Um, not that I enjoy being the coal in the Christmas stocking, but clearly accuracy didn’t factor into what readers choose.  I don’t have records on this, but for the last few months it seems that everytime CO Pols has posted a prediction (or sometimes even a fact, hello BTC endorsement) it’s been dead wrong.  Would love to see a batting average.

  8. BMR,

“what an odd, lazy and pathetic way to approach government.”

Actually, it’s pure genius. Revenge makes a great motivator.

  9. I’ll get you next year Dead Guvs!  When we have a Dem Gov, a Dem State House and Senate, and the Civil Union Refrendum passes.

I hope this happens just to see BMR get mad.

    Congrats Pols!

  10. Gee. Coloradopols.com has taken to censorship because they don’t want certain truths and facts presented.

    What a shocker.

Typical Liberal tactic. Free Speech is only for those who support Liberals. No one else.

Time for the Federal Election Commission to begin a criminal investigation into ColoradoPols.com. The evidence is mounting they are breaking the law.

  11. No–I doubt it’s a liberal tactic, it’s more likely a server problem. Criminal investigation? Come on man, we conservatives have fatter fish to fry. Don’t use liberal tactics, persuade. We build, liberals tear down. Our job is much more difficult. The job calls for persuasion, which is not disuaded on this site.
