Grand Junction TV reports the BLM has signed a lease for a building near the airport, also near where the existing facility is located.
Expect our senatorial weasel to push as hard as he can. I am sure his fee for service on this operation is substantial… but only if he is successful.
The tv and the Sentinel failed to report the space in the building at 760 Horizon Drive puts the BLM straight into bed with fellow tenants West Slope COGA, Chevron, Oxy and Laramie.
CPR had the story, though.
It certainly comes as no surprise, but I did not know the Oily Boyz would be just down the hall. What is really cool is they will have a private hotel over at Tims' Place when folks come in. Certainly no point in paying out-of-family businesses when Mesa College can get its share.
He's already got a video on his page touting it.
How much space for the 27 bureaucrats?
And will there be additional space nearby for the lobbyists to set their offices to house the young staffers who will be charged to attend every possible meeting?
Hahaha. Do your job, Nancy, or find someone who will.
137 Democrats in favor of impeachment inquiry, according to CNN on Thursday. Plus an independent. Including:
Only 80 more to go before reaching a majority of the House. And one of those is a Democrat from Colorado.
What is it that you believe the process of the Judiciary Committee investigation and vote to recommend, or not, impeachment to the full House is for and why would it matter if a majority in the House don’t support the investigation? Also, 137 is a majority of House Democrats.
Uuhh, what would it matter if we give Trump a tremendous propaganda victory in the House instead of the lesser but still momentous victory he will get in the Senate if the Math is Hard Caucus gets its way?
Quite a bit, actually.
Perlmutter supports the impeachment investigation and the “next steps”:
Pass some laws, Nancy? Who are you going to get to get those wonderful laws through the Senate? Do your duty to rid this country of this dangerous tyrant.
Teachable math moment, Realist. It takes 51 votes to pass a law in the Senate, or 60 if they filibuster. I agree that either number is out of reach. But it takes 67 to convict in an impeachment.
If you can't get 51, why are you so sure you can get 67?
Isn't it two different questions, V?
You think the outcomes can't, or won't differ?
Acttually, I think there is a slim chance of getting a law through the Senate allowing sitting presidents to be indicted.
There is absolutely no chance of getting 67 votes to convict Trump. You would get, at most, 46 votes to convict. That sends The Stinky One to his re-election with the same enormous momentum the Gingrich gang gave to Clinton.
Math ain't that hard. 67 is bigger than 51.
But what happens when the bill allowing sitting presidents to be indicted passes the House and (narrowly) the Senate but is vetoed by Trump? You're back to 67 again.
Worse, actually, because you now need two-thirds of the House as well.
Exactly.
What's the alternative, folks? I can only think of one – sit back and watch this country be fully turned into an autocratic kleptocracy, completely dominated by right-wing legislators, a right-wing executive, and a right-wing court.
All other alternatives involve violating the law – not my thing.
Uhh, the alternative is called an "election.".
try it, it can work wonders if, this time, we actually campaign in Milwaukee.
What incentive do $Rump’s allies have to not electronically interfere with elections, when neither they nor Rump have faced any consequences so far?
Fewer than half of US states have secure mail ballot ( or other paper trail) elections. The remainder vote with compromised voting machines, which are manufactured by $rump allies.
Moscow Mitch finally approved a one time infusion of $250 million in election security; however, House Dems say that $600 million is needed for election security; to, for example, provide a paper and auditable record of every vote.
In 2016, 21 states were targeted by foreign hackers, and 7 voter databases (that we know of ) were penetrated, and voter info exposed. We’re really not sure if vote totals were changed; it’s why we need auditable systems.
We have to show that we’re serious about punishing election crimes, including those solicited or perpetrated by the President. Otherwise, “the election will fix it” is naive at best.
^yep.
Oh, that's a great plan. Bellow that "the fix is in" and just give the election to Trump so you can have four more years of whining?
Christ on a pogo stick!
Then, having again lost the presidency and Senate, and probably the House too, because you are too pure to fight on the 2020 elections, you can again demand impeachment from a Congress that you just gave over to the Republicans again.
Now, there's a plan.
You Bernie bros think of everything.
I see that you have defaulted to your usual mode of insults, emotional language, hyperbole, imputation of motive, and mind-reading.
So I’ll ignore you and leave it to others that you don’t habitually insult to try to have a rational argument with you.
You always promise to ignore me. Then you come up with a world class stupidity like your previous post — don't bother trying to win the 2020 election because Putin has aleady stolen it — and just can't wait to share it.
Sigh. Lucky, lucky me.
Elections are rigged so we take the majority in the House — that we won in the rigged election of 2018 and impeach Trump so that the rigged Senate can somehow get 67 votes to remove him from office so Mike Pence can win the 2020 rigged elections.
Because, you know, why fight when defeat is certain?
Are you seriously suggesting I don't respect that argument?
More to the point, do you seriously suggest anyone should???
They say if you move far enough to the right and far enough to the left, the two sides meet up. (Ideology isn't linear but spherical.) KWtree proves that!
Sen. Josh Hawley (Trump/R-MO) was on the news this weekend attributing the Trump/Ukraine president phone chat scandal to "the Deep State."
La Pomposa is pre-emptively blaming the Dems' 2020 loss to "the Rigged Election."
Thanks, V., for pointing out that little inconsistent detail: the Dems won the House last year with the rigged system. (My guess is that MJ will claim we would have won much more if the system was not rigged.)
Rigged or not (and in some ways they definitely are: apportionment of Senate seats, electoral college), these are the cards we are dealt so either learn to play with them or leave the table.
Your imaginary friend, Pomposa, makes an absurd claim: that Dems will lose in 2020 due to a rigged election. Give up now, all hope is lost- that is what you are making your puppet say. Weird, but it’s your toy, and you will play out your own little scenarios.
I, on the other hand, made the point that the 2020 election is not enough to curtail Trumpist’s abuses, that we can’t wait 13 months to act, and that the House must act now to investigate and impeach, which is the Constitutional remedy for a criminal President. Impeachment can be referred to the Senate, but it can also just hang over $rump through the election.
We must use the tools and power we have: impeachment, censure, election work, GOTV like never before, mass demonstrations, all of it.
Impeachment and criminal charges against minions like Guilani may place some accountability on the election fraudsters. Some consequences are better than no consequences when we do have the power to act.
Don’t predict, don’t make your dolly speak for me. You may quote what I actually say, and what I say is we need to act in every sphere in which we have the power to do so.
The idea of opening impeachment proceedings and let the American people vote on it, instead of the Senate is good.
Just as Moscow Mitch stole a Scotus appointment, perhaps opening and continuing the investigation, timed to let the voters decide something so important, is an idea whose time has come.
The problem with "letting the people vote" on impeachment is that Constitution thingee again. It says only the Senate can vote and the necessary margin is two thirds.
You ain't got two thirds. You ain't even got 51 votes.
Math is hard.
Maths??! We don’t need no steenking maths . . .
. . . we gots plans!
I'd like to believe.
I hope justice matters that much to anyone.
But political math is what it is.

Buck digs in deeper:
After teaching us to spell
RECALLF A I L , now Buck has learned to spell A O C.Buck appears to be star struck , and is giving Rep. Ocasio-Cortez all kinds of free media. Along with the NR S C ‘s conflating her with Andrew Romanoff, she has made quite the splash in conservative Colorado media.
The young climate activists liked what AO C had to say, as well. There hasn’t been much coverage of her Boulder town hall and fundraising dinner in the mainstream press.
And, in the amazing mind of Donald J. Trump, things are fine:
Let me fix this:
I would only tack this onto the end of your edit: ". . . when rural America will be dead."
American farms are productive and strong.
They won't be dead – they'll just owned by new owners. Loan terms will be easy for those who don't need loans, and difficult for anyone who does.
And, just think how cheaply ADM, Monsanto, Cargill, BASF, et al, will be able to scoop up all those bankrupted farms . . .
. . . Hooray for invisible hands!
But will rural America understand who's holding them hostage and throw them out in November 2020, Michael ?
Rural America has been bought offby $28 billion in new subsidies and will stick with the crook in chief. But so what? There just aren't enough farmers to matter any more.
Only two things matter.
White women. Last time, they voted for Trump. If they do that again, we probably will have fascism triumphant for at least a generation.
Young voters. They don't exist. Polls show under 30 citizens have liberal attitudes. Reality shows that doesn't matter because so few bother to vote. If that's true again in 2020, yeah, fascism is safe until about 2040 when these idiots are finally old enough to start voting.
Sigh. LGBT and Black women are great, rallying behind Democratic values and fighting fiercely for freedom. But they can't do it on their own.
Sure – librels and godless commies.
You misspelled "libruls!"

Do you Pol Cats know there was an ICE protest on Saturday 9/21 in Aurora? Not if you rely on this web site. Why no reports from Jason Salzman, Antifa propagandist MJ, and the fifth column tools at Colorado Pols?
Historically, Roger, the term "fifth column" refers to fascists. In the Spanish Civil War, Franco was finally moving on Madrid with four columns of troops. He claimed Fascist sympathizers in the capital would form a de facto "fifth column" in his behalf.
“D” is for “desperate” . . .
. . . as in, “Our simpleton is desperate to change d subject.”
This protest? Protesters stage peaceful march to Aurora ICE facility
Pear, I’ve been called many names on this blog, but “Antifa Propagandist” is a new one. Do you have any comments or posts of mine to back up that claim, or is this just a “Throw the shit and run away” post from you?
By the way, you can certainly write your own diary on the dueling protests at the ICE facility..” I is for ICE” is my suggested title. You can celebrate those dozen people in MAGA hats as the real heroes, and all….have at it. I’d love to hear how locking up children in cages indefinitely makes America great.
Pfruit – you gotta up your game. I mean, Fluffy ripped that stained blue dress off his sculpted body and came in here gunz-a-blazin’ under a brand new name wearing nothing but a #MAGA speedo, making all kinds of
scandalouslibelous claims and other filth falling from his demon-possessed-tongue – all while brandishing his coveted penis compensator. If you want to draw some attention in here, and given your competition, you might just have to reinvent yourself.Of course we knew about it. The MSM told us all about it.
I can't imagine anyone relying on this site for all their news. It is true that the daily "Get More Smarter" post is a treasure trove of enlightenment, and guest reporters like Jason frequently present timely and important stories, but CNN it ain't, quite.
