I think Hancock fatigue has set in for Denver voters. It'll be close, but there are just too many questions, and dissatisfaction with his administration in the last few years.
The non voting lady needs two-thirds of the Calderon-tate vote. The mayor slides in with a third of it. I predict an even split, with the mayor winning about 57-43. Perl squeaks by Lopez. New wins a close one.
I have been out of town for a vacation, intentionally avoiding news of the election (and updates on the on-going D.C. disaster).
Reading some of the coverage here and on a couple of other sites, I'm now convinced the disappointment with the incumbent and opposition to his policies should have been enough to deny a third term. But it won't: too much political experience versus virtually no political experience, too much money versus not enough; too little effort to develop ties to those who would vote on having a woman to represent the city.
Here's hoping for a better race in 2023 (or in a special election if Hancock steps down).
I think the Mayor wins it due to Giellis's gaffes and her being a NIMBY. Also seem lot of people who voted for Pen or Lisa who think think Giellis is worst than Hancock and seem to be voting for the Mayor.
Speaking of NIMBY vote — I-302 regarding mandating a vote before any taxpayer money is spent on an Olympic bid might prompt some anti-Hancock turnout, don't you think?
It could if people are paying attention to it but the news a few days ago said the turnout was at 6%. If it stays may show people don't want to vote. I think what you may also see is lot of people saying both choices are bad I'm not voting.
With such low turnout gotv counts. We've now been called six times by Hancock volunteers — real people, not robocalls — and none by Giellus.
That's odd that you've been contacted so many times by the Hancock campaign. You turned in your ballots already haven't you? They should have taken you off their contact list before now. Even with $2.7 million, they're cutting into Hancock's hookers fund
Actually, the four original contacts and the two runoffs came before I turned the ballots in. We tend to vote late because we've been burned a few times by late developments. I just think the mayor's machine works harder. Life belongs to those who show up!
P.S How does one apply for a grant from that hooker’s fund?
I think you could ask any of Hancock's personal security detail for help with that.

Absolutely…..Hancock doesn't win but Giellis loses. To paraphrase Tallulah Bankhead, "The people will have put Hancock in his place!"

Well, V., as far as I know neither Lesley Dahlkemper nor Casey Tighe has been sued for sexual harassment by any cops. Nor has either been accused of neglecting to vote in elections.
So, R&R, you're maintaining a discreet silence about Libby Szabo? Very wise! And a few in the not so distant past make even her look sane.
