Too early to tell. They were on scene almost immediately, so that probably helped.

Monday evening I had dinner with one of Jeremy Richman's best friends. The dinner wasn't about gun violence, but of mental health (there is some research being started on how cannabidiols from the hemp plant have a positive effect on brain health) and the collapse of resources here in the US – something Jeremy's Avielle Foundation was focusing upon. To hear him recount the nightmare the Richmans lived post-Sandy Hook was heart-wrenching (looking at you, Alex Jones). On a flight yesterday I sat next to an Australian as this was unfolding – and how they've all but ended gun violence in his country.
We know how to fix this.
Well, Australia has no second amendment. We're more limited here. Red flag bill is a start as would be a ban on assault weapons (andvthe idiots who think they can quibble about the definition of asssault weapons.)
But with more handguns than people, I think we're screwed on the gun violence issue.
My humble suggestion is to put Alden Global or one of their ilk on the task. The gun industry wouldn't stand a chance against a Vulture Capitalist worth their salt!
