Theocracy is fine, as long as it's my theo.
Violence is fine, as long as it enriches me.
Poor people chose to be poor so they deserve it.
Stereotypes (ethnic, racial, whatever) exist because they are so obviously true.
And, the Big Line is what Camus was referring to. 2 +2 sometimes equals 103%. And it's way, way off.
Interesting Letter to the Editor in today's Denver Post:
Gardner is a conservation champ.
Do you agree with the letter writer's statements, CHB?
In my own opinion, Gardner gets about 25% right, 75% wrong on almost any issue. But he touts that 25% as a fabulous record that should give him bipartisan appeal.
MJ: Gardner has been good on some conservation issues (LWCF re-authorization, the cited Omnibus Public lands bill) and bad on some other issues (rollback of Obama rule on methane gas release).
I agree more or less with the letter writer's statements. But I do have the advantage of personally knowing Mr. Sisson for about 15 years. On the Republican side, Rob is one of the good guys.
It's hard to have much cred on conservation when he works to accelerate climate change.
Don't have time to write this up properly. We've known about it for some time now, but Giffords – the gun control advocacy group started by ex-Rep. Gabbie Giffords – is making it official: the NRA illegally coordinated its campaigns with Republicans from President Trump to Senator Cory Gardner, and the FEC has failed to act on the heavily documented complaints. Giffords seeks a ruling compelling the FEC to do its job.

Holy shit. That is a real bombshell. Republicans won't care, and Gardner will just smile and spout glibberish, but:
One less monster in the gene pool tonight.
Texas has executed John W. King for the 1988 dragging murder of James Byrd, Jr.
No word yet from the White House as to whether Trump thinks there were "good people on both sides" of the brutal slaying where three racists, including king, offered Byrd a ride in their pickup, then beat him and dragged him behind the truck for three miles.
But there are some good people in Texas. And they can be proud of eliminating this vile creature from the gene pool.
