  1. I highly suggest every progressive women who is interested in getting involved with politics go to the GO Vote, Run, Lead Training. I went last year and it was informative and fun- plus you ge tthe opportunity to network with such great women!

  2. I’m looking forward to the Vote Run Lead Training this year– I’ve heard the program is going to be great.  The best part really is networking with a great group of talented, powerful women.  Go to The White House Project’s website to register!

  3. The Go Run training is an energizing experience!  The training is for a range of women from women thinking about getting involved in politics to women who are currently running for office.  Women from all over the state and even a few visitors come together to learn about how a campaign is run. The women leading the training provide many inspiring and amazing speakers.  So much great information is provided for the women attending; it is really just an invaluable weekend.  See all you bold women at the there!

  4. Last year’s Go Run was a great experience for me.  I met great women, got excellent training and left motivated.  I highly recommend the training.

  5. Jill Conrad our new DPS school board member who won against increadible odds went through the traininging before running.  The training is great if it gives us more qualified candidates like her.

  6. I recommend this practical, non-partisan training for any woman considering a run for office or working on a campaign.  The training is effective, and helped me win my first election to Centennial City Council. As great as the training was, my favorite aspect of the program was the chance to meet so many leaders, and the inspiring “Invitation to Run” by Marie C. Wilson, who also founded “Take Your Daughter to Work Day.”

  7. I heard an interview on NPR and it sounded like a great program.

    One question.

Is it true the White house project  only looks to young women for this program because the political life of an older women interested in running for office isn’t long enough to build the political experience/capital to run for the White House, which is the stated goal?

  8. We invite all women regardless of age or party to run for office.  We believe that having more women in office from City Council, School Board all the way up to the Presidency will be good for democracy and for policy. However, we do encourage young women to run for office in order to create a pipeline of women moving up the political ladder. Faith Winter – White House Project Organizer

  9. Go Vote/Run/Lead was an energizing experience last year! It gave me the opportunity to rub elbows with elected officials, women who were in the middle of campaigns, and those who – like me – have dreamt about it but didn’t quite know the logistics of how one goes about running for office. We know now. This was a great first step towards a lifetime of involvement. Thanks, WHP!
