Ya got your shut-down.
And to minimize the repetition of "I want my wall. I really want my wall. Gimme my wall. I'm going to hold my breath until I get my wall," the *resident decamped, flying away to drop into Iraq for 3 hours or so, and stopping in Germany on the way back to DC. He got to show off his new bomber jacket (worn with white shirt and tie, of course). He got to show off FLOTUS in a variety of fashion choices (none with words this time). He increased the count of his lies while speaking to the troops. He pledged "no backsies" on his Syria decision. He criticized military leaders in his remarks. He injected domestic politics into his comments to the troops.
I guess it is fortunate he acquired some new foreign odors to add to the general miasma of Trumpstink.
When he states he’s heard from many, many federal employees to not back down from his demands does he mean “he’s heard from Moddy”? Any idea whether he’s a non-essential? (the jokes wrote themselves). If he’s non-essential he has probably lost access to his federal computer.
I can hear him now, “Stand strong, Mr President, the voters will reward you. Mark. My. Words.”
Is Moddy non-essential? Yes. Always yes. He is the definition of non-essential.
And he posted a video that outed the Seal Team he visited.
The ride on the DIA shuttle train always reveals what's happening in Denver. Hopefully, you'll get a Denver Bronco or Colorado Rockies player welcoming you to Denver because that means their team is doing well. Otherwise, you get Mayor Hancock. Last night on the shuttle train, I heard "This is Mayor Hancock, and this is Denver's First Lady welcoming you to Denver!"
My immediate thought went to, "And, this is Mayor Hancock's security guard that he hit on; and this is Senator Baumgardner who was ousted on sex allegations, and this is Senator Kagan who resigned because I couldn't stay out of women's bathrooms, and this is Representative (fill in the name) who was also ousted on sex allegations…… Welcome to Denver, Colorado. Home of the Sex Perverts!"
Here's hoping we can have a different politician to kick around after this spring's elections.
Haven't yet heard of too many activists jumping into the campaigns. I've met two — one very sincere, very focused on issues, and (in my opinion, which hasn't been particularly keen) not likely to be among the top 2 or 3 candidates. And Penfield Tate, who appears to be serious (imho), backed by supporters with money, and definitely a step up for accountability in governance.
Don't worry — "most of the people not getting paid are Democrats"
