  1. May you have opportunities to enjoy family, friends, and feasting, according to your preferences.  And joy in knowing you are ALL "essential," even if the government doesn't describe you in that way.

    Peace and Joy …

  2. Pretty soon this isn’t going to be funny anymore.  The incompetence of Trump is magnified by the incompetence of his Cabinet.  Of particular concern is Mnuchin at Treasury (witness today’s stock market crash and the insane calls he made to bankers this weekend), Perry  at Energy (only responsible for all things nuclear), Pompeo at State (when will the war against Iran begin?), Nielsen at Homeland Security(preventing terrorist attacks), etc.  We’ve yet to have a serious crisis not of Trump’s making.  God help us when a real crisis occurs and we have to depend on these clowns to protect us.

    Happy Holidays!

  3. A vastly more effective and productive use for $5 billion

For a long time, the leading candidate for Next Big Physics Machine has been the International Linear Collider, which would fire electrons and their antimatter opposites, positrons, at each other. The collisions would produce showers of Higgs bosons. The experiment would be built in Japan, if it is built at all, but Japan has yet to commit to hosting the project, which would require them to pay for about half of the $5.5 billion cost.

    1. Are you serious! The theocratic morons driving science policy in the country today would equate this device with Eve eating the apple offered by the snake.
