So those South Carolinians might want to reconsider registering their coups if they’re ever moving here.

Isn’t the central purpose of the Democratic National Party to gain control of, or at the very minimum at least conduct, the Government ?
Isn’t that the raison d’etre of the GOP ?
Certainly the Constitution Party directly advocates seizing control of the federal Government through the ballot box. I know I do.
But doesn’t the Constitution throw up some kind of barrier [implicit in Article 4 ?] to one State (South Carolina) reaching into and meddling with a citizen of another State (Colorado ?)

who is going to characterize themselves as being in violation of a “Terrorist Registration Act” in order to challenge its constitutionality ?
I can just imagine the problems this presents for crowd control:

If so I think there are many groups that have an ideology advocating the dissolution of the union or its overthrow.
Americans are free to believe in idiotic and odious ideas and associate with other like minded people. What you are not free to do is act on those beliefs if those actions violate laws designed not to regulate the ideology, but the conduct.
Ridiculous law.
It must still exist as some shell of an organization. Once SC comes down on them, we’ll see this law fall under the first whiff of judicial review.
SC won’t go after white separatists and secessionists. Too much like biting the hand…

I note that “secede” is a word not mentioned in their statute. Since they were the first to do so that can not be an innocent omission.
Myrtle Beach is a really nice place.
I’d rather cut Texas loose.
