Nancy Pelosi Just Showed Us Why She’s the Democratic Leader
Looking forward to seeing if any of "a lot of great, diverse candidates from all across the caucus who would be fantastic as our next speaker," is willing to have their name put forward in the caucus meeting next week. And to measuring whether signing such a letter brings immediate "retaliation" in any meaningful sense. I'm betting that nothing happens prior to Pelosi deciding to find other ways to be busy and thus avoid raising money or campaigning for Ed in 2020.
So first Ed was going to retire, now he wants to be Speaker of, what, White Male Democrats?
On second glance, maybe the gang of sixteen was a 3-dimensional chess game designed to highlight Pelosi's political skills. We wouldn't want Nancy P getting soft by skating to success would we?
