This has been going on for hours and I’m just tuning in. My question and concern on HB 1190, which seeks to remove the tax-exempt status of energy used on manufacturing, and the other bills that will remove or suspend the tax-exempt status of junk mail, bull semen, candy, soda, and plastic to-go containers is why have we been cutting education, medicaid, and human services to the bone marrow while junk mail etc get a free ride?
What I’ve heard thus far is a bunch of impotent whining from Senate Republicans about TABOR and the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to reverse the trial court’s decision to freeze the mill levy that funds schools.
