Interesting how close this is compared to the others.
Williams' misstep with handing over voter info to the Kobach "fraud" commission is probably mostly forgotten with voters. The boots, hat and pants controversy, while fresh, may not have gotten a lot of attention from news-free voters. So the power of incumbency in a down-ballot race could overwhelm both.
I hope I'm wrong, of course.
I think the percentages are actually pretty close to the odds. 51% for Williams, but Griswold is still in the race. I would bet the margin of victory will be around 2% whichever way it goes.
Griswold has a solid future in politics if she wants it. But I don't think it will include winning this election.
I've not seen enough of a campaign to think it will overcome incumbency, familiarity, and a die-hard desire to have at least one Republican in a state-wide office. This is the race where people who want to claim they are "balanced" and "vote for the person" will come down and support a Republican.
On the otherhand, look at the numbers for Democratic and Unaffiliated female voters! Jena may have helped ignite a positive response.
As the old line has it: "Never underestimate the power of a woman."
Maybe the time has finally come.
