  1. Today's Trumpstink Report is dedicated to Denny Pedant, whose own posts are much more ponderous and pompous but which reach the same conclusion.

    Trump  stinks!

    Great God Almighty.

    Trump stinks!

    1. Like I said last week (paraphrased). You need new material. You are really getting to be boring, which distracts from other comments you might make.

                1. The same? At least Moderatus changes up his mindless Trump/Republican support talking points. And Zappy sometimes leaves a comment with actual information.

VG's posts are in a class of bad all by themselves.

                  1. "Ditto."

And, that is the problem. Why does VG keep ditto-ing something we already know. "Trump stinks" doesn't move the needle for anybody. In terms of actual INFORMATION content the post is a zero, i.e. a waste of good electrons.

                    1. It's called a running gag, park, and if you don't get it, don't read it.  Most posters get the joke and enjoy it.  At times, I stopped it only to see others, like unnamed, pick up the banner.  If we can't have a laugh at fascism's expense, fascism is well on the way to victory.

                      And Trump does stink!

          1. Or, we could be Denny Pedant, pompously pursuing the goal of renaming the Colorado 14ers and insisting that Trump isn't really all THAT bad.  But why would we be that?

Still want to rename them Mount Trumpstink?

            1. Read the words that I actually type.

YOUR POSTS MAKE TRUMP LOOK GOOD.

Nothing about Trump is good, but in comparison he looks good when you write about him. Mindless negativity hurts. You are the Moddy of the Democrats. You hurt your side of the debate. I deplore what you do not because I like Trump, but because as a patriotic American I want Trump to lose control of at least one branch of government. Stop helping him!

              1. You deplore because you have no sense of humor and are in fact a deplorable.

Denny Pedant, deplorable whiner and tireless foe of the lone haranguer.  Stalwart champion of the Fink king!

But Trump Stinks none the less.  And you could use a bit of right guard on your fantasy football team yourself, pedant boy.

              2. There is NOTHING that makes Trump look good, and there is only one person responsible for making Trump look bad – Trump.

Now I have to go wash my hands to get the stink off them . . .

      1. Pedant, Denny.  A pendant is a banner.  A pedant is a guy who goes on and on about why he doesn't like the name of mountains and expects that intelligent people will care dip squat about his opinions.

        Denny Pedant it is!

          1. But you can't edit my correction!  All the world knows you thought pedant was a pendant, which means your spelling stinks.

nana nana nanny goat.  Denny Pedant thinks he's a pendant.  And he doesn't think Trump stinks.

And he hates the lone Haranguer.

and he knows the king is a fink but won't admit it.

And he's losing this flame war 21-2 because while the nation writhes in Trumpstink hell, he wants to rename mountains, cuz that will fix everything.

  2. The segment of the populace that doesn't consider politics a spectator sport, start paying closer attention after Labor Day. Looks like they're starting to be "woke". Trump's unfitness for being president, and the Republican Party's collapse into Trumpism is moving the needle in the opinion polls.

This morning's poll aggregation at 538.com shows Democrats with an 82% likelihood of winning the house. The odd are: 80% chance of 17 to 60 seats, and 10% chance of more than 60 seats.

Closer to home, 538 shows Diana Mitch Busch only 1.7 points behind Scott Tipton for the win in CO-03.

    1. One can be an optimist, ParkHill. I also recall 538 had Hillary winning until the bitter end.

I've seen another poll showing 199 seats safe or leaning Dem; and 193 seats safe or leaning Repub. 40+ seats were toss-ups, many of them open seats. The math does appear to be trending Dem.

I suppose it's a wild-assed dream that Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) will be the new chair of House Natural Resources instead of Mr. Anti-Public Lands Rob Bishop (R-UT). But I'm hoping.

      1. To be a Democrat is to be forever a pessimist. I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a dispirited pessimist. If we vote; we win. And, that is the crux of the matter. Some of our strongest support groups have a tendency to low turnout.

For more optimism, see the Axios link, below.

        1. Well said, Park.  Unfortunately, Democrats don't normally vote heavily in non-presidential years.  I'm counting on the Trumpstink factor to boost turnout this year.

      2. 538 had Hillary Clinton with a 71% chance of winning up to the very end, which is different than saying that she would win. And error bars on every battleground state that showed it possible for Trump to win.

Quoting from their guide page: "Think probabilistically. Our probabilities are based on the historical accuracy of election polls since 1972. When we say a candidate has a 30 percent chance of winning despite being down in the polls, we’re not just covering our butts. Those estimates reflect the historical uncertainty in polling."

They pegged her as a 81.4% to win the popular vote and a 10.5% chance of winning the popular vote and losing the electoral college, which is what did happen.

So Diane Bush winning CD-3 is the less likely, but possible outcome just the same as Trump winning the last time around. If the election were held today she would have a slightly better chance at 41.6% using their formula, though only 11.1% in the pure polls forecast.

  3. Murder at Mesa College?

TV reports this morning indicate the discovery of a deceased adult at the engineering dept.building this morning. The GJPD is being very tight- lipped about this so far. The Mesa spokesperson who appeared this morning was David Ludlam, of COGA fame. Mr. Ludlam is very influential at CMU (Colorado Methane University).

Apparently, there was considerable damage to the interior of the building…the deceased was not a student.

    Stay tuned….

              1. We just watched both the ABC  and CBS affiliates in GJ tonight…no mention of this story.

Just checked the Daily Sentinel website….didn’t see any updates from this morning.

      1. Well, Coffman agrees with the stink 96% (though some put it at ONLY 95.6%) of the time.

And the Coffman ad's basic claim is focused on Crow attending meetings of a volunteer organization — which is scarcely a measure of effectiveness or impact.

Coffman, on the other hand, has been in office since before groundbreaking on the new VA hospital. To put it mildly, "oversight" in one sense was substantially missing.  And Coffman has an abundance of "oversight" in the other, less charitable definition.

        1. To say nothing of the fact that CLF was trying to pin the VA problems on Jason Crow, because viewers are supposed to believe that Crow has a lot more power than he actually does.

      1. Faith Winter gets a shout out from the New York Times today too

Unless you’re a serious political junkie, you’ve probably never heard of Faith Winter.

But the 38-year-old candidate for the Colorado State Senate is running for a seat that has attracted intense focus — and spending — from both parties. That’s because if she wins, and other seats hold, control of the state legislature flips to the Democrats.

  4. Can someone at Colorado Pols get in touch with ProgressNow Colorado, so ProgressNow can let Melissa know that Wing Stop is now paying $15.00 per hour. The ProgressNow solution is $10.20 per hour.

MJ lectured me that the $.90 increase from last year really means a lot to a person on minimum wage. If $.90 is material, then an extra $4.80 means Melissa can get that “extra stuff” she has been working toward.

Thank you President Trump for providing an opportunity for Melissa to earn an extra $4.80 per hour, she deserves it! Perhaps Melisa will realize that ProgressNow is no friend to those living at the poverty level. The poor are a tool of ProgressNow and other KOOK Democrat groups who want political power to limit freedom and liberty.

        1. And the last presidents to actually decrease a deficit were both Democrats?

And that deficits explode when Republicans control both Congress and the White House?

Maybe you should find something other than economics to lecture Democrats about.

              1. Trump grabbed her pussy, then had his lawyer spend $130,000 to buy her silence.  She used the money to go to MIT and is now a very successful software engineer.

Melissa will meet with Mueller Monday to discuss the hush money agreement.

She supports anybody but trump for president.

            1. No..you are not going to say that a desire to fill ones pockets is what motivates us all. It motivates you and the rest of your selfish, hateful tribe.

Morality..honor..honesty…compassion…humanity….those are the motivators that matter.

Of course, you don't understand that.

      1. And it will probably go up another $600 billion during the lame duck session tax cuts that are coming December. It will be their last chance to get that enacted until at least 2021.

    1. Wingstop still pays servers and cashiers about $10-12 hour. That $15 an hour you cited is for the General Manager. Indeed.com

President Trump is against Federal minimum wage laws, ("Wages are too high!" when he's not trying to portray himself as a friend of the working man,  and has fought them for his hotels and casinos. It's why he hires so many immigrants, and why his hotels had to unionize to get decent wages and working conditions. MAGA!!!!

Really, Pear. This stuff is not hard to check. Step up your game.

      1. So are you saying Melissa isn’t smart enough to be a general manager at WingStop?

Liberal solution: Minimum wage law, $10.20 per hour

Free market solution: Supply and demand, $15.00 per hour.

Thank you President Trump for creating an economy where Melisa and others can prosper! And Melissa, I’m pulling for your success also. So sorry ProgressNow kicked you to the curb.

        1. I'm saying that your original post was deceptive. You implied that all Wingstop workers were now getting $15 an hour, thanks to #rump, and you didn't even bother answering my assertion that $rump has been all over the map on wages, but mostly he has said that "wages are too high".  Nor that he likes to personally hire immigrants, and what you think of that. Nor that the workers at his hotel had to form unions in order to get decent wages.

However, I'm sure that Progress Now Colorado is happy that you are such a devoted reader. Did you wish Alan Franklin a happy birthday?

          1. My posting is not deceptive. That’s only one of the many signs advertising $15.00 per hour. I know it’s irritating when the left’s false narrative is blown up and you have to come to grips with central government failure.

Thank you President Trump for making America great again, even for the people who wish it wasn’t so.

            1. Chance that the government has much of anything to do with hourly rate at a particular franchise location of Wingstop?

Assuming the sign is accurate and the government does have a significant role — it is nice that pay is going up.

  5. This is the part of the horror movie where you realize the murderer is calling from inside the house.

WITH CONTROL OF THE HOUSE IN PLAY … DEMOCRATIC TEXAS REP. HENRY CUELLAR invited supporters to a breakfast fundraiser for REPUBLICAN TEXAS REP. JOHN CARTER this morning in San Antonio at Mi Tierra Cafe. The invite sent from a Cuellar political staffer links to a “John Carter Conservative for Congress” contribution page with donor levels up to $2,700.

IT’S INCREDIBLY RARE for any lawmaker to help raise money for someone of the other party. BUT CUELLAR RAISING MONEY FOR CARTER is even more shocking considering the Texas Republican is in a surprisingly tight race against Democratic standout candidate MJ HEGAR.
