MIKE PENCE 1998/99: "In a day when reckless extramarital sexual activity manifests itself in staggering rates of illegitimacy and divorce, now more than ever, America needs to be able to look to her First Family as the role models of all that we have been and can be again."
“Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross section of a lot of our assets,” Donald Jr. said in 2008. “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”
The golf writer James Dodson said last year that during a visit to a Trump golf course in 2013, Eric told him of his family company’s financing: “Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.”
Around the time Donald Trump said goodbye to American banks, he said hello to Mr. Cohen, a lawyer whose résumé, one might have expected, would have screamed, “Stay away!” to a legitimate businessman.
From at least 1999, according to a recent Times report, Mr. Cohen had dealings with Russian mob figures and began finding business deals in, and with people from, Russia and the former Soviet Union. By 2007, Mr. Cohen was working for the Trump Organization as a fixer and deal maker.
After Mr. Trump’s election, while the F.B.I. was investigating whether his campaign helped Russian efforts to put Mr. Trump in the Oval Office, Mr. Cohen visited his boss in the White House. During that February 2017 visit, Mr. Cohen left for the national security adviser, Michael Flynn, a plan to lift sanctions against Russia, which had been imposed for its attacks on Ukraine.
Russians and cash — they’ve been a part of Mr. Trump’s life for years, and now they’re elements of the investigation into whether his campaign conspired with Moscow to corrupt American democracy. Mr. Trump’s affection toward the Russian president has led many to ask, “What does Putin have on Trump?” Maybe the ledgers will tell.
It’s much better than last year. No entry in the 1st semi that I am dying to see win, but 3 that are super good – Croatia, Austria, & Cyprus (Croatia did not make it out of the semi). And not a single one that was not at least quite good (Israel I still have not decided on).
Right now I’m really wishing I was there (couldn't go because of work).
And for those trying to understand Eurovision, watch both the Estonian & Israeli entries. The Estonian is extraordinarily beautiful while the Israeli entry is the most crazy kitschy OMG entry since Verka Serduchka (Ukraine 2007).
The interval acts (they perform during voting) for the semi were really good too. Last year the interval act during the voting for the final was Justin Timberlake so that gives an idea of the quality.
Again really good. I didn’t hear one to die for, but everything was good. Weakest was Russia (usually they’re top 5).
Slovenia had the music stop in the middle and called on the audience to provide clapping for the background sound. It was weird, but worked well. And Ukraine did something I think they’ve never done before – sent a male singer.
Serbia, Denmark, Australia (Sam – it’s Jessica Mauboy), Latvia, & Montenegro were very good. I think Montenegro is my favorite so far.
Giuliani forced to resign from his law firm Greenberg Traurig, and disassociated itself from his remarks concerning hush money.
“We cannot speak for Mr. Giuliani with respect to what was intended by his remarks,” said a spokeswoman, Jill Perry. “Speaking for ourselves, we would not condone payments of the nature alleged to have been made or otherwise without the knowledge and direction of a client.”
It seems Rudy thinks his deranged pitbull role will finally get him a job in the Trump administration, and he won't have to worry about dunning Trump for his fees since it'll be a government job.
One person close to Mr. Giuliani said that his serving in the administration in some role eventually was a possibility and had been the subject of informal conversations he had with the president.
Many of the country’s top law firms have resisted the prospect of their lawyers representing the president. As Mr. Trump tried to rebuild his legal team this spring, firms told their top lawyers that if they wanted to represent the president, they would have to resign.
The firms were concerned about Mr. Trump’s longstanding history of ignoring his lawyers’ advice and apparent failure to pay his bills, and backlash from employees who did not want to work for a firm that was representing Mr. Trump.
Apparently, Trump got out of the traditional "use other people's money" model of Real Estate investing about 10 or 15 years ago. Remember that all the banks stopped loaning Trump money.
Ever since Cohen started working for the Trump organization, the deals have been cash. We'd need to see Trump's tax returns in order to figure out exactly where he was getting the cash. But, at the time, Uday and Qusay were saying that they had all the investment money they needed from Russia.
And a lot of the condo sales have been to taxi drivers from Russia, Ukraine or othre ex-Soviet Union countries.
The stench is getting worse.
Trump stinks.
The stench is overwhelming.
It corrodes the soul.
God, this man stinks so fouly.
Febreze can't hold the line.
The gas masks are leaking.
The stench is everywhere.
Trump stinks.
Stay upwind, America.

To listen you need a VPN to Europe as YouTube won’t allow the clips to be played in the U.S. (this has a free first month trial).

2nd Semi is at 1:00 today!!!
I understand that it will be broadcast on the LOGO channel if you have it on your satellite or cable (it's an LGBT channel).
Unfortunately only the final is on Logo. And the announcers they have on the show last 2 times were pitch perfect for Eurovision.
That's what I heard. It's worth tuning in just for them.

Baumgardner will have seniority in '19. Would the Reds dare make him minority leader after this election?
Eagerly
As Moderatus would say if he was still up with: "Why should a good man's career be ruined when a simple apology is all that was needed?"
Perhaps Handsy Tate will be minority whip. Too kinky?
Did nutlid have an epic meltdown when Cynthia Coffman got routed at the Republican assembly? It's like Taller got clobbered and he went *poof*.
Boob Grabber, Handsy Tate. We need to make sure Pa N-Evil-le, and "The Dirty" Sanchez lose this fall.
My bet is nutlid lost his internet privileges like ArapaGOP did a few years ago. Next Village Idiot up!
He's always bounced back from his other prognostications that went south…..
Remember 2014? Gessler? Then Both Ways?
Or 2016? Rubio, then Cruz, but #NeverTrump …. that is, until he boarded the Trump Bandwagon.
In the GOP, strike 8 and you're out!

Why should trump ever have to pay a legal bill . . .
. . . when he brings so much corporate bribery and money laundering business into their coffers??
Good point. Afterall the basic tenet of real estate is to use other people's money. Trump simply takes that principle a little bit farther.

Yes, I linked to the NYTimes editorial explaining all that cash from Russia at the top of this thread.
"Malevolence tempered by incompetence" – Paul Krugman, describing the Trump administration
Malevolence tempered by incompetence, offset by malefesant enablers like McConnell and Ryan.
