This could to be the most solid all around Broncos team ever. 6-0, an offense that is much better than I thought it would be (mea culpa Josh McDaniels, forgive me for doubting), and a defense that is just AWSOME! 5 sacks! A solid win against a very good team on the road.
I thought they’d be lucky to win 6 games total.
Josh = Josh?
The hit they put on the WR that Rivers hit on the attempted 4th down conversion was just brutal. Mike Nolan has turned this defense around. They look like one of his old Baltimore Ravens teams. Dumervill is a legit MVP candidate, and they have held opponents to 10 measely 4th quarter points–7 of which were against the Bengals in Week 1.
Offensively, they’re unpredictable, and Kyle Orton is having an all-pro year. This is a fun season to be a Broncos fan. Jay who?
Something interesting my wife brought up tonight: if the Broncos and Avs keep it up, and the Nuggets can recreate some of the magic from last year, this will be the first year that all four major sports franchises in Denver have made the playoffs. It’s a long way off, but it’s looking possible.
I for one am very glad we got rid of that whining sunovabitch diva.
Josh McDaniels wisely kept on some veteran coaches that have developed excellent skills in a young team.
6-0 is great, but a long way to go.
As the Zen Master says, “We’ll see…”
just sad that I have to wait till November 1st to see the Broncos play again – but they deserve this bye week more than ever!
