  1. PAYGO is one of the lamest and Most Destructive legislative tricks Dems have fallen for in years (Yes, I’m looking at you SFL Bennet):

But the Republican leaders who control Congress insist the new spending must have offsetting cuts ― a condition, notably, they didn’t place on their $1.5 trillion tax cut. Democrats seem willing to go along with that, but the parties haven’t yet reached agreement on what those cuts should be. And the temporary funding Congress supplied is about to run out again.

Quit being bipartisan with these Motherfuckers and figure out how to start recalibrating our economy so the wealthy don’t end up with EVERYTHING.

    1. Thanks for the links, Zap. I agree with the comment from the second one that says any party that endangers the rule of law disqualifies itself from governance.

There are still too many people who continue to think that you can negotiate with someone who wants you dead.

The Trumpublican party is working desperately to destroy our democracy. Those who refuse to see that are part of the problem. The "Republican" party is dead. Some people just can't let go.

This is no time to negotiate….this is the time to fight.

    1. There are not even 49 Democrats in Zappo-World. Some of those you are including are DINOs who need to be purged so that those remaining stand for something.

  2. This is the way the Keebler cookie elf crumbles . . .

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/grassley-tells-sessions-order-to-screen-doj-communication-with-congress-likely-violates-law/

PS. Jeffie, Every good Ernie Keebler knows, when you have a leak in July, don’t wait until February to try to play Mr. Plumber yourself:

    http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/343285-grassley-calls-on-leaker-to-release-sessions-conversation

    1. Sessions isn't one of The Yam's "business associates". He was in the Senate longer than Grassley. He knows better. If Holder or Lynch had tried this, Sessions would have pitched a running fit.

  3. Ok, it's not politics (unless one day Elon Musk runs for office), but had to salute the launch of his Falcon Heavy rocket, with his red sports car now in orbit around the Sun (inspired, I strongly suspect by the '80's movie Heavy Metal and the opening scene).

The spacecraft will journey through Earth’s Van Allen radiation belt over the coming hours. If it succeeds, Mr. Musk’s sports car will head away from Earth onto an elliptical orbit around the sun that extends as far out as Mars’s orbit.

  4. I wonder if this news will be in Trump's morning fawning clippings?

White House Spokesman Called Trump a “Deplorable”

At 10:57 p.m., he wrote, “u wanna hear something a little fucked up?” Hemming responded, “Sure.”

“I’m kinda enjoying this, some justice. I honestly don’t think it’s the worst thing he’s done but he somehow got passes for the other acts.”

Raj Shah added, “Trump is a deplorable.”

Trump engenders such love and respect among his closest advisors:

… national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, called the president an “idiot” and a “dope” with the intelligence of a “kindergartner.”

Steve Mnuchin and Reince Priebus thought the president was an “idiot” and that Gary Cohn thought the man was “dumb as shit.”

Rex Tillerson reportedly called Trump a “fucking moron.”

  5. More winning – for Democrats!

Tonight there were four Republican-held seats up for special election in Missouri. One of those seats just flipped to Democratic control, going from Trump +28 to Dem +3 (Romney +16, FWIW). Congratulations State Rep. Elect Mike Revis, MO-HD-97.

Republicans held the remaining seats, with Democrats gaining +17, +26, and +53 (!) against their 2016 showing. Whatever contractions the polls have been showing, it hasn't dampened Democratic performance even in deep red districts like these… (HD-39, where Democrats only gained 17 points, is the only district that Romney won with a greater margin – D -5 vs Romney results – and was won by the vacating incumbent's mother.)
