MADDEN FOR SENATE ANNOUNCES FIRST LABOR ENDORSEMENT OF PRIMARY
Lafayette Professional Firefighters: “We Are Proud To Stand Behind Alice Madden”
Louisville – The Madden for Senate campaign today announced the first labor endorsement of the 2020 Senate race. According to their letter, “The Lafayette Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 4620, are proud to stand behind Alice Madden and fully endorse her as the Democratic candidate for The United States Senate.”
The full endorsement continues, “Alice directly supported the Lafayette Professional Firefighters along our journey to secure collective bargaining rights.
“Alice took responsibility for the issue and chose to defend workers, our families, and the communities we serve in our fight over safety, our health, and a living wage. Standing up for firefighters and all those who protect and serve around us is a cornerstone of good citizenship and Alice has proven to be that cornerstone for us.
“When it comes to supporting the people she is elected to represent, Alice has shown to us that she is always available and willing to stand up for what she knows is right. Alice Madden will be the type of Senator who doesn’t seek constant attention or power, but rather seek to take action in ways that will continue to make the United States an amazing place.
“For the Lafayette Professional Firefighters, a vote for Alice Madden is a vote for us. It is also a vote that supports all firefighters and the communities we are sworn to protect.”
According to Madden, “It was a privilege to help these brave men and women ensure their health and safety as they selflessly serve and protect all of us. Rebuilding and strengthening our middle class is one of the most important things we can do, and the right to collective bargaining is proven to foster our nation’s economic stability. I have always been proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with organized labor and fight for Colorado’s working families.”
