...don't worry, because you'll get hired again.
According to Roll Call:
Former Rep. Bob Schaffer (R) has been in Washington, D.C., this week holding a series of fundraisers, including one at the National Republican Senatorial Committee, as he seeks to get his nascent campaign for Senate off the ground and catch up financially to Rep. Mark Udall, the likely Democratic nominee.
Schaffer, who hopes to succeed retiring Sen. Wayne Allard (R), hedged for months on his interest in the race before finally jumping in earlier this month. He has hired Pat Fiske to manage his campaign, although Fiske in an interview declined to disclose who else has been brought on to advise the former 4th district Congressman.
Fiske managed Schaffer's Senate primary campaign in 2004, which ended in a loss to beer magnate Pete Coors (R).
Colorado Pols first reported a few weeks ago that Shari Williams had been hired as the General Consultant for the Schaffer campaign. Her last statewide race was overseeing Bob Beauprez's campaign for governor last year, which was quite possibly the worst campaign in the history of Colorado.
Let's recap, shall we? Schaffer's Senate campaign will be strategically led by a woman (Williams) who oversaw the worst campaign disaster in Colorado lore. The day-to-day operations will be handled by a man (Fiske) who was at the helm of Schaffer's 2004 Senate run when Coors beat the snot out of him in a primary.
What, was Michael "Heck of a Job" Brown too busy to lend a hand?

(This story broke late last night, so we promoted it to the top in case you missed it. - promoted by Colorado Pols)
Republican Bob Schaffer has retained Shari Williams as the General Consultant for his upcoming U.S. Senate run. Williams has a long history overseeing statewide Republican campaigns and was heavily involved in Bob Beauprez's run for governor in 2006.
We first reported back in January that Schaffer would run for the U.S. Senate in 2008. With Williams on board, an official announcement may not be far behind.
UPDATE: Colorado Confidential has more on the decision to hire Williams:
Politics is different from real life in a lot of ways; for one thing, a political campaign is the only business that you run where your goal is to go bankrupt. But I'll never understand why politics is also a business where your professional results are virtually irrelevant. If I applied for a job with Qwest, and my resume showed that I had run the last three companies I worked for into the ground, then I wouldn't expect to be hired. But if I went to Bob Schaffer and said that I lost the last few campaigns I oversaw, he might give me a job.
Schaffer may very well be the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in 2008, but the way he's starting off, I wouldn't expect him to be the next Senator from Colorado.
