Kellyanne Conway: Let Them Eat Cake

Kellyanne Conway.

CNBC reports–this could honestly be the worst PR we’ve ever seen:

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway says people on Medicaid who will lose coverage under the Republican plan to repeal Obamacare could find jobs that provide health insurance…

“Obamacare took Medicaid, which was designed to help the poor, the needy, the sick, disabled, also children and pregnant women, it took it and went way above the poverty line to many able-bodied Americans,” she said. They “should probably find other — at least see if there are other options for them.” [Pols emphasis]

Conway went on: “If they are able-bodied and they want to work, then they’ll have employer-sponsored benefits like you and I do.”

There you have it straight from the Trump administration, folks! No need to screw around with lip service like Sen. Cory Gardner about “protecting” Medicaid expansion patients. Of course, there are some exceptions to Conway’s neatly-wrapped up little package about those millions of Medicaid expansion beneficiaries.

Rather than messing up Kellyanne Conway’s talking points, the exceptions should probably just die.

  1. Pssst…Hey KellyAnne, you do know that both the bill passed by the House and McConnell's bill eliminate the mandate that (large) employers offer affordable health insurance with minimum value, don't you?

  2. I know it's a stereotype, but she personifies Dumb Blonde. I think The Yam somehow finds her attractive. I guess. If one finds the crystal freak look appealing.

            1. It reminds me of some of the outlandish shit they (MCRCC) got fmr. rep. Laura Bradford to wear during her campaign.

She once dressed up like a little patriotic (red , white, and blue) train engineer ( hat, coveralls…the whole schmear) so she could do a speech about "the little train that could". The speech ended with Laura pretending to operate an air horn and yelling "Toot toot"…

              It was pretty embarrassing…

              1. I thought the Beauprez "Say yes to the dress" campaign was the gayest ever. It’s like a drag queen’s idea of how women behave when dress-shopping. I suspect some closeted consultant sold Bighead Bob on that travesty, and laughed all the way to the bank.

                  1. #SAD

And yet some of them still wonder why Both Ways lost the election with all that going for him.

Then again, it was a big improvement over the 2006 ad of Bob standing besides the horse’s ass.

    1. Kellyanne may very well just be, by a very wide margain, the closest of anyone in the Drumpf coterie to a MENSA candidate . . .

  3. I've come to believe that many of this current "crop" of right-wingers genuinely believe people "should die and get out of the way" (now doesn't that bring up some great memories from decades ago?).

I can't get the image out of my head of the disabled elderly being wheeled out of their nursing homes, parked at the curb, and told to "get a job!"
