  1. Trumpstink is a comin',

    It's really a fright.

    Trumpstink is a comin',

    We'll be gagging tonight.

Why don't you hurry hurry hurry home,

Get a gas mask and foam

    Trumpstink is a comin',

    Stay upwind my friends!

  2. All the trumpublicans are getting in on the cocky, arrogant, nasty, petty, puerile, disgraceful, disgusting trumpian antics!

In fact, here's another one now (with thanks and acknowledgement to Michael B. for bringing this bit of hilarity to all of our attentions the other day):

    1. Like MamaJ, I can't stop laughing at this gif.  Is there a more perfect 12 seconds of visual on all of the interwebs that captures the essence of the bluster of the Drumpfsters like this one?  There's an application to every news cycle.  Today's comparison: the Saudi arms deal ajb just shared with us. There is no 'there', 'there.  It's all fireworks and bravado – until they're fully exposed and someones weiner gets burned.

      1. While I love this video, Is there really any reason to think it is a Trump supporter in the role of flaming dickhead?  There are a lot of young (and not so young) guys who do stupid things that have no link to Trump.

I will grant you that it perfectly symbolizes Trumpism.

          1. I wonder if this guy will get a Darwin Award? You know, one need not die in the idiot stunt;merely to render themselves incapable of reproducing, thereby improving the species.

  3. What's the one thing that could make [any town in] Kansas even worse???? . . .

“The intention is to differentiate the chain, called American Idea, by featuring artifacts of American culture in the hotels, such as an old Coca-Cola machine in the lobby or American-made sundries in the rooms.”

    http://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/05/business/trump-organization-american-idea-hotel-chain.html

    "Make America great again . . .

. . . with a faux old Coke machine in the Trump-mada Inn lobby!!!!”

(BTW, ain’t this the same kind of genius that made the Trump Taj Mahal Casino so great??!!??)

    Honey, I know, this year let’s spend a whole week in Wichita!!?!! . . . I hear they’ve got a Coke machine!!!!

    1. This is rich…(pun intended)

This new chain is an unlikely venture for a company commonly associated with luxury accommodations in upscale locations, and it indicates that the Trumps see dollar signs in the vast support the campaign received from conservative areas well beyond major cities.

Which is Fifth Avenue speak for, "Hey, TwoScoops™ – I've come up with another way to fleece the morans!!"

A man who spent his life shitting on a gold toilet in his $100 million penthouse in Manhattan, and whose 10yr old son has his own entire floor, has somehow convinced the sheeple that he's 'one of them'.  America is infected with nostalgia for a time that never actually existed.

Grab your ruby slippers and the little dog, Moddy.  We're headed to Kansas!

You couldn't make this shit up.

      1. Meanwhile back in some NY boardroom . . .

. . . "and if the housekeepers give us any [   ], Daddy'll round 'em up and send 'em back!"

    2. Speaking of the Taj…and filed under the long, long list of "couldn't make this shit up".

Even Governor Donuts is back in the game. Did I mention that Ichan is a senior advisor to TwoScoops™?

“The only person who will benefit from this veto will be billionaire investor Carl Icahn," said Sweeney. The veto "will allow Icahn to exploit and manipulate bankruptcy laws and casino licensing regulations in ways that would enrich himself at the expense of regular casino workers and the families who depend on them."

The Taj Mahal was once the flagship of Trump’s casino empire, which at its peak had four properties, three of them in New Jersey. Trump lost control of the casinos through a series of bankruptcies with Icahn ultimately emerging as the sole owner of the Taj Mahal. The casino is owned by Icahn Enterprises (IEP.O), the investment firm controlled by Icahn.

      1. Only fucking idiots ( … whazup Moderatus, Buddy?!? …) , those poster-boys for ". . . some of the people, all of the time . . . ", are gonna' believe that all those faux (new) old TrumpCola machines will be manufactured by American high school graduates in Yuma County . . .

. . . speaking of which, there's gotta' already be a vintage Coke machine somewhereabouts in Wray, that already draws deep-pocketed visitors from all over the world, no ???

  4. Here from The New York Times' David Leonhardt  is why we cannot afford to allow Trump's behavior to be rationalized and normalized by our trolls:

Democracy isn’t possible without the rule of law — the idea that consistent principles, rather than a ruler’s whims, govern society.

You can read Aristotle, Montesquieu, John Locke or the Declaration of Independence on this point. You can also look at decades of American history. Even amid bitter fights over what the law should say, both Democrats and Republicans have generally accepted the rule of law.

President Trump does not. His rejection of it distinguishes him from any other modern American leader. He has instead flirted with Louis XIV’s notion of “L’état, c’est moi”: The state is me — and I’ll decide which laws to follow.

This attitude returns to the fore this week, with James Comey scheduled to testify on Thursday about Trump’s attempts to stifle an F.B.I. investigation. I realize that many people are exhausted by Trump outrages, some of which resemble mere buffoonery. But I think it’s important to step back and connect the dots among his many rejections of the rule of law.

He demonizes sources of information that are not sufficiently supportive. He tells supporters that they can trust only him and his loyal mouthpieces to speak the truth. La vérité, c’est moi.

The one encouraging part of the rule-of-law emergency is the response from many other parts of society. Although congressional Republicans have largely lain down for Trump, judges — both Republican and Democratic appointees — have not. Neither have Comey, the F.B.I., the C.B.O., the media or others. As a result, the United States remains a long way from authoritarianism.

Unfortunately, Trump shows no signs of letting up. Don’t assume he will fail just because his actions are so far outside the American mainstream. The rule of law depends on a society’s willingness to stand up for it when it’s under threat. This is our time of testing.

  5. A boy named Sue, and we though Jonny Cash was funny. Now a girl named Reality Winner. It seems pretty clear that parents have  abdicated all common sense in dealing with children with the parents themselves acting as children.

Parents have removed all boundaries of acceptable behavior in appearance and action. Now if you want to have 1" grommets in your ears, no problem. Neck tattoos, hell yea. We certainly wouldn't want Reality Winner feeling self conscious.

We see the future and say "damm it's good to be 67".

    1. Keep looking at the bright side . . .

We see the future and say "damm it's good to be 67".

. . . at your age you probably won't have to put up with things for very much longer!

        1. Yeah, but you're a moderate-centrist 72 . . .

. . . much, much, much younger than being an average FOXluv'n, people hatin', bitchin' about the state of everything gone wrong (in your lifetime … like you were just some bystander to your own muddled, dystopian, victimized existence), change averse, woeing your long begone good old days,  mid-sixties year-old prig . . .

          ;~)
