  1. This just in: . . .

    Il Presidente "Potizza" . . .

. . . there's no better humor truth than Papal humor.

    (Stay upwind, papa … )

        1. Only one of the two kingdoms requires the head be covered for women in western delegations visiting– it's not the Saudis.

Melania Trump wears veil, but not a headscarf

"Per Vatican protocol, women who have an audience with the Pope are required to wear long sleeves, formal black clothing, and a veil to cover the head," Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's communications director, told CNN.

When asked why she wore a veil at the Vatican but eschewed a head covering in Saudi Arabia, Grisham [her communications director] said there was no request or requirement for her attire from that country.

From Michelle Obama's own visits to both:

    1. Hey, potica is the food of my people. Lots of slovenian immigrants in Pueblo.

Basically, it's strudel without apples, or baclava with bread dough instead of filo

      1. Maybe wanna' keep that information on the QT ? . . .

        . . . you might inadvertently encourage a P____ visit from PresiDrumpfling ( . . . or even worse, his travesty's toad-eater, ChristieCarryout.)

  2. It's an embarrassment of riches in the CD-7 Dem primary as Dominick Moreno joins the race.

Honestly, I don't know who I would vote for between him, Pettersen or Kerr. All three have been phenomenal legislators, as well as great people personally.

      1. Eh, I would rather DeGette retire of her own volition, but having someone in the leadership structure with seniority is a benefit in terms of funding for Denver, even if impactful legislation is wanting.

  3. Well, at least he's not (allegedly) your candidate for Congress.

Reporter alleges Greg Gianforte ‘body slammed’ him in Bozeman

Law enforcement is responding at this hour to a building on Discovery Drive south of Bozeman, where a national political reporter alleged that he had been assaulted.

The reporter, Ben Jacobs of The Guardian, claimed on Twitter that he was assaulted by Republican U.S. House candidate Greg Gianforte.

“Greg Gianforte just body slammed me and broke my glasses,” Jacobs tweeted.

    1. Musing on Fisticuffs….

IIRC, didn't the Pride of the Centennial State, former Congressman and gubernatorial Wannabe Scott McInnis, once get into it with a California Representative who referred to Scooter as a "fruitcake"?
