  1. And the lead in this morning's NY Times was the decision to pull TrumpCare 2.0 because they don't have the votes to get in through the House.

    1. Michael, that's the goofiest thing I've seen in a long time. But it doesn't surprise me. Gowdy's a wack-nut. And I swear when you look at him you can actually see the point on his head.

  2. A Clown walks into the White House:

Trump Says He Thought Being President Would Be Easier Than His Old Life

“I loved my previous life. I had so many things going.”

Not sure if the nation should laugh or cry at this joke.

    1. Do you think #TrumpsterFire just doesn't understand that he can go back to his previous life that he loved? He could walk away today (please), and the majority of people in the US would ask no questions. Perhaps he needs more than wistful reminiscence – perhaps he needs to be reminded of potential impeachment . . .

    1. Moe is over on the "Ken Buck is a Coward" thread, shilling shamelessly (as usual) for the Koch Brothers' favorite NOCO prostitute. No idea where Larry and Shemp are. Check under the slimiest rocks.

    1. I have to visit relatives this weekend who are gaga over the orange one.  I've been working on my mindfulness so that I can offer something more than flying spittle when they go on and on about how much they love Trump.  At what point do you decide that saving the planet and the environment is more important than having cordial family relationships?

      1. I passed that point quite some time ago.

I have a tea party aunt and uncle I haven't spoken directly with in years. I was told that they (like our own Motor Anus) initially embraced Little Rubio, then Lying Ted, and finally learned to stop worrying and learned to love the Screaming Yam. I also have a sister in law who swore that the Affordable Care Act was going to lead to death panels.

And it's not just the Trump supporters. I have a friend I used to go skiing with every winter. Except this passed year. He didn't vote for Trump. In my mind, he did something worse – he voted for Jill Stein. The day after the election, he's on the phone with me asking, "How could this have happened?"

      2. Maybe you can discuss Trump's campaign promises. You know, like bringing back all those good union jobs, or opening up more deep-rock coal mining, or…

      3. You could read verbatim from Trump's speeches, or even better, get five year old kids reading his speeches. Maybe after each paragraph, you could ask for an explanation:

        What does that mea?

        How will that work?

  3. Great opening line from Mike Littwin:

As we hit the 100-day mark for the historic failure that is the Trump presidency, the question we should be discussing is not whether his first 100 days have been a disaster — of course they have been— but why they’ve been a disaster.

Of course, had Hillary won, the GOP would have immediately started calls for her impeachment, would have boycotted the inauguration, opened investigations of her administration by every GOP-led House committee, added anti-abortion, anti-Obamacare amendments to every piece of legislation that passed their way, and finally shutdown the government until Hillary promised to sign a confession to all the conspiracy theories floated on Breitbart, followed by her resignation.  Seriously…
