That was an awfully nice weekend.

    1. The Senate starts confirmation hearings on Gorsuch.

Voting, should there not be a filibuster, could only happen after his nomination is referred out of committee.

    2. Gorsuch hearings start today, with at least four days of hearings. Committee vote to follow, and then the full Senate debate will be scheduled. McConnell wants to have it done before the April "Easter" recess begins.

  1. Who'd have thunk?  Do you think Drumpf is tired of winning yet?

Trump’s Pentagon Presents ISIS Plan That Looks Much Like Obama’s

The irony of the similarities between the Obama plan and the Trump plan is that as a candidate, Trump repeatedly called Obama's ISIS strategy a failure

"We have to be unpredictable starting now. But they're going to be gone," he said in August. "ISIS will be gone if I'm elected president. And they'll be gone quickly."

      1. Does your Anonymous Troll Jesus™ hate all blacks or just Obama?

You remind me of the quote by Pepe Youmans

"Despite all of his accomplishments, Pres. Obama has failed to turn himself White. Which, by the way, the Republicans did accomplish with Jesus."

  2. It was a very, very nice weekend. Turned the sprinklers on, went on long walks with the dog. Enjoyed evening wine with my wife, talking about the grandchildren. It was a great day. How about you?

    1. Again, our dogs and grandkids, who live with us, provide the love and intrigue that diabetes can't rob from me.   And yes, wine with the wife helps us enjoy these twilight years.

        1. P. Pear

If your dogs like you, that's a substantial recommendation.

On the other hand, dogs famously overlook political and religious opinions, being properly concerned with actions instead.

Enjoy the walking in the nice weather.

            1. Putin's dog handling skills were not in evidence in that video. That dog should have been on a leash, and she should have been trained not to growl and advance on people. On the other hand, if Putin himself trained her, taking time away from being the richest man in the world and the Russian Oligarch, he may have actually trained her to bark at and intimidate people who did not look Russian. "Top dog", doncha know.

              1. Didn't he once try to intimidate Angela Merkel with one of his dogs?

And I’m guessing he doesn’t walk around with a little green plastic bag.

                1. Yes, he did. Angela saw through Putin's ploy, though, and later said to the New Yorker:

"I understand why he has to do this — to prove he's a man. … He's afraid of his own weakness. Russia has nothing, no successful politics or economy. All they have is this."

  3. Only in Drumpfworld – An African conference  in the US with no Africans attending (they couldn't get visas under new immigration rules).

The real embarassment of this is not so much that China and ISIS will rejoice in expansion of their influence in Africa , because of an American vacuum. The real shame is that there are Americans who will rejoice at Tweeterdumb's "melanin test" to visit our country.
