I expected you to be standing up for the rights of a private business to exercise its choice in how to conduct itself. And for a multi-millionaire businessman and executive to exercise judgment about who would be best for his team and its bottom line.
I have no idea if "the real reason for the trade was Tebow's overt expression of his faith." But if you are sure it is, and want to object, will you also be objecting to the various sorts of indignities that target liberal Christians, Jews, and Muslims here in Colorado? Calling out those among our political leadership who justify attacks on Planned Parenthood?

When you speak of attacks, I assume you are talking about physical harm. As a conservative I would stand with you to defend individuals and facilities from harm, using all capabilities.
If your talking about attacking policy, you can plan on it.

Tebow is a nice story and a good role model.
As a football player he was rather flawed.
Not the way I remember it. To this day Tebow is asked about what role his faith played in career. Many lashed out at Tebow for his outward display.

Many have lashed out at Colin Kaepernick for his political stance.
The NFL is pretty much a meritocracy.
If Tebow was a better passer he would still be in the league.
If Kaepernick can get his team to win, he can spit on the flag and stand on his head for the national anthem and he will still be in the league.
About the only things that can get someone banished are multiple performance enhancing drug offenses, beating up on women, or deflating a football.
Tebow's outward display of spirituality was definitely controversial, but it's not the reason he isn't an NFL QB anymore. There are plenty of current NFL players who are open about their faith. Tebow had plenty of opportunities with a half-dozen NFL teams.
No other player has indured the scrutiny that was wrought on Tebow. His skills may have needed improvement but he was blackballed by the NFL. Can I prove it, no. Just Google the articles of the day. His very public display is a danger to sponsors and the NFL.

What's profound is your inability to spell. To the extent he was scrutinized at an inappropriate level the word would be endured. I didn't have any problem with his public displays, although it's not my cup of tea and I think he should have taken the Matthew 6:6-7 route with his faith…
I don't go to church to hear audibles – and I don't go to major league sports events to get a sermon.

Don't know. Seeing him reminded me of what real character is compared to CK.
John Elway – Safety nets for me, but not for thee. So no food stamps, welfare, unemployment insurance, old age pensions, SSI.
Meanwhile, John Elway himself as benefited from his natural talent, yes, but also from the glorification of a sport and billions in taxpayer subsidies for NFL stadiums, events, and player and coach salaries.
So yes, a pox on John Elway and all of the NFL. They take our money and whine about some poor mom buying steak with her food stamps. Big fricking babies.
As for Tebow, he got plenty of benefit from his prayer stance. People bought his jerseys and stuff, including those with him taking a knee in prayer. Being religious is his "brand", and he's cashed in plenty.
No sympathies for Timmy or Johnny.

Even for you, powerless pair, this is an exceptionally stupid post. Tebow, as one writer said, combined the inspirational ability of Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis with the passing skills of … Ray Lewis. At any given time about two dozen men have the skills to be a good NFL quarterback. Tim was never one of them.
He had enormous heart and that went a long way. But defenses quickly figured him out. He just couldn't read a defense and throw in the 1.6 seconds allowed by a top defense. He had another shot with the Jets and couldn't make them either. Now he is a minor league baseball player and happy to be back in athletics. More power to him. But it is stupid beyond belief to claim that we passed up a super bowl because we hate Christians! My brother in law is in the sports hall of Fame at Metro and a Fellowship of Christian Athletes type. We loved watching Tebow and admired his heart. But this game is about winning, not whining, and in the end you need the skills of a pocket passer. It well said that there are a lot of running quarterbacks in the NFL — but no old running quarterbacks.
Tim had a great heart but not a great arm. That's life.
